Cred where cred is due
First things first: I play survivor and killer equally. I have to say that I really enjoy some of the recent changes.
The new tome/rift: Brilliant changes so far. Completing challenges in the tome corresponds nicely with the rift progress. It doesn't feel grindy any more. Secondly, the challenges in level 1 were fun. I'm very excited for the next level. I have actually decided to throw some money in the rift to celebrate!
Ruin rework: Since I dropped ruin from my loadout the matches have been much more consistent performance wise (playing killer). The match time is not heavily influenced by a coin flip (a.k.a totem spawn), which means I can learn accordingly. I care more about perk/killer synergy when choosing my loadout. Low mobility killer = corrupt intervention. High mobility killer = PGTW or ruin. On a side note: I do feel that game speed needs to be addressed in some way. Map size versus map mobility dictate the game outcome at a very high rate.
Bugs: I have not encountered that many bugs lately. The patch has been very smooth and I have been enjoying the game a lot.

I do feel that game speed needs to be addressed in some way.
In that case, you'll be pleased to know that the devs revealed plans during their last livestream to shrink maps, adjust toolboxes and look into expanding on side objectives like the totem system, all in the name of addressing game speed 🙂
