Does it Seem Like the Game Has Been Worse for Both Sides Lately?
I'm a Killer Main but I play both sides.
It seems to me that ever since the Ruin nerf there's been a kind of deterioration in the way people the game.
Most matches are a mix of people throwing the game to get challenges done, unsuspecting newbies getting matched against jaded veterans and people just getting Dedicated Server'd left and right and groaning at the sight of yet another Lery's match.
More and more, though, I've been seeing people turning up the dial on Full Sweat Mode. I'm seeing wannabe Depip Squad SWFs again or even just normal squads going for gens above all else and frantically trying to end as many matches before they begin. I saw so many Commodius toolboxes, DSes and Unbreakables lately.
When I tried to play some Survivor, I've only come up against Killers with an Ebony Mori and the strongest Addon combos possible on whatever Killer they played.
I don't see people "playing nice" or memeing anymore. Players in general on both sides just seem to have zero chill these days.
Like, I'm not gonna call anyone sweaty just for playing the game and having their eyes on the ball, just playing well or making understandably efficient choices in builds and playstyle, but I'm just saying - there seems to be a lot more of that lately.
I might just be imagining - after all, DBD is the kind of game where you never know what the next match is going to be like.
How have your matches been like? Do you also feel this way or has your impression of things been different?

Since Ruin got reworked, there have been a lot more campers, tunnellers and tryhards. Survivors fought back by trying to rush generators as a proverbial middle finger to anyone who'd want to tunnel or camp, and got their mates to actually have half a chance.
Those of us who play fair get caught in the crossfire. Some turn to the same methods to get results. Others stay the course somehow.
The player base as a whole puts itself in a self-perpetuating spiral of toxicity and complaining, and cry that the Devs aren't doing a good enough job.
People can't just accept that new content takes a while to settle, or that there are other people, REAL people on the other side. They'd all rather cry "Don't blame me!" when it is really them.
I actually started to run Decisive Strike BECAUSE of all the more recent tunnellers as well, which is something that I don't want to do, but feel as though these days is a necessity. I've switched from a stealthy Claudette (Sprint burst, Spine Chill, Bond, Self Care/Botany Knowledge+Medkit) to a runner Yui (Balanced Landing/Dead Hard, Decisive Strike, Self Care, Botany Knowledge) just to have half a chance.

Dedicated servers ruin the fun for me on both sides.
