This is kinda... haunting

Out of curiosity I decide to look at BHVRs past games, specifically Warhammer 40k. I mostly glanced at steam reviews, but unfortunately they only tell you so much about the interactions with the devs and the community. I decided to search on Youtube instead and found this video.

For those who aren't interested in watching it here's the TLDR; Beat by beat, he goes on about some of the same issues that are currently plaguing Dead by Daylight.

Examples -

  • Confusing design decisions that makes no sense from the communities perspective.
  • Focused on marketing rather than maintaining a player base.
  • Long gaps between updates with little focus on fixing core problems.
  • Balance issues between one role and other (killers vs survivor for us, melee vs range for them).
  • Map design problems.
  • Community members questioning if the devs understand their own games.

This post is not meant to be a dig at BHVR.

I understand that BHVR is fixing some of these issues but due to the amount of time it'll take them, people will have already become put off by the game. I mean hell people are already put off from the game due to some of the devs decisions.

I'm seriously concerned for the state of Dead by Daylight if this is a case of history repeating itself.
