Matchmaking fix

Matchmaking is broken, we're all fully aware of this. Something I believe can fix this including new MMR system. Rainbow Six has a MMR cap. Gold ranks and bronze can't queue together due to their MMR being too far apart.

If BHVR implemented this. One it'll effect SWF, new survivors won't go against experienced killers when trying to play with their high rank friends, and the green ranks facing reds, and yellow facing purple. Would be reduced greatly I believe.

What are your opinions on this and how big would you want that MMR cap be?

No caps. DBD is a casual game, and basically a party game honestly. You can't tell people "I can't play with my friends because they are more experienced". You'll see the game die quick if you try to dictate that.

All they need to do is put the SWF (however many exist in the party) against a killer that matches the average MMR of the SWF group.

Correct it is a casual game, but lately has it been that way? No, it's been complaint after complaint about nerfs, facing high tier survivors at low ranks, people saying they're quitting because it's more stress than they need.

So while I agree with you, that is not the case in the current state of the game, and them adding a MMR system is making it less casual and more competitive making it a headache to people who are trying to play it casually. DBD is no longer the casual game it was meant to be. Nor do I see it reverting back to that state anytime soon.

Doesn't really matter how it's "been". It's still a casual game. Again, you can't say "this person is your friend, you can't play with them because they are higher rank than you". It will severely hinder the playerbase. The devs decide that it's a casual game. Not the players. There's so much RNG that it is literally impossible for it to be anything other than casual.

The DEVs do decide if it's a casual game, but people are the deciding factor. DEVs are pointless without the player base. And from these forums, it's obvious that the player base believes something major needs to change for it to become a healthy game once again. Stroll through these forums and tell me if general talk on these forums about playing with friends and having fun is most common or people complaining about the games state concerning match making, nerfs, SWF groups.

Just gonna leave this here and completely agree, something needs to happen.

It may be a "casual party" game, IF YOU PLAY SURVIVOR.

Survivors have so many tricks and jukes at their disposal (I play survivor too, but I'm not super good), any experienced coordinated SWF group is gonna run circles around a killer all day every day without any need to even drop pallets.

Even if we agree that it's a casual game, the difference between an experienced player and an inexperienced player is HUGE, and there needs to be some way to proper label what's what.

I may have gotten a good amount of points in that game, but that's only because I got 2 lucky hooks and they were dancing around each other and hooks and everything to all get out safe, thus giving a ton of chase points at the end, it was NOT a great game for me.

    Survivor avg. MMR: 4.5

    My MMR: 12

    Yea, fix it pliz, somehow.

Old pic: hadn't blocked out all names. Sorry ^^

Must've somehow deleted my previous post, cos it disappeared.

Anyway here's my most recent killer game

    Survivor avg. MMR: 4.5

    My MMR: 12

I get that survivors need to be able to play together, but jeez, when they do, put them against killers at their level, like, higher than their avg. MMR or AT their MMR, or let killers opt out of playing against premades.

I'm not a good killer, and even tho I got lots of points because I got 2 hooks towards the end before the last gen went off which led to lots of chases and stuff, but was a lost game anyway at that point, it was dogsheit.

I dunno how Matchmaking can be fixed, but it's not working currently, point of the game is for all parts to have fun, and majority of the time, I'm not having fun when I play killer, even tho I like playing killer... I'm not expecting to kill all survivors to have a good game, 1 or 2 regularly and I'm fine, but my skill level isn't high enough to compete with these SWF groups, so I get shafted by matchmaking.

I agree it's a casual game but the devs should put a casual mode and a competitive mode that way you don't get as many try-hards in casual and if you really want to be competitive then you have a mode just for you I don't understand why they don't have it I mean am I wrong here?
