Cheesing games to complete challenges

Hey Survivor / Killers,

Just because you want to complete your challenges doesn't mean you need to ruin the trial for everyone else. I've had several killers face-camp just to get hook challenges and several survivors half-ass the game and die on hook just because they've completed what they needed done. How about play the damn game and if you complete a challenge, pat yourself on the back and continue playing until you actually escape or die.

End rant.

Still not a problem with camping though, killers would be more efficient if they left the survivor and went for another.

  • I hope there won't be more challenges involving throwing pallets. The last time they has one requiring survivors to throw pallets (while in a chase!) and many people just threw pallets without reading the 2nd part of the requirement.

Within 2 minutes, all the pallets in the map was thrown. Followed by suicide on hook.

When the Gen challenge was fresh, they were poping left right and center. I wish survivors played like this every game, might actually get out alive. Half the time I am hooked I look around and all 3 survivors are sitting behind a rock next to me like vultures waiting to farm me off hooks instead of doing objectives. Christ even doing a totem would make me happy.

I'm actually with the OP here. I had someone trying to get the rancor challenge with Spirit last night. Right at the beginning of the game (before the first gen was done)they cornered me and blocked me, and then they slugged me and just camped my body, following me around where I crawled, letting the other survivors work on gens just so she could get the rancor.

Of course, my team mates weren't complete pepega's, and one got me up. I ran to a locker and Narnia'd that #########.

Like, honestly, if you're going to play like a dick just to get a challenge done, I'll respond in kind.

Wow, what a miserable person to play that way. I would have done the same, waited until all the gens were done to buy my team time, then dc'd. No rancor for you.

Nah you gotta be a homie and take the L, if you don't do it some other poor chap will :(

Eh, it's easy enough to at least tunnel the person all game and give them chase points. If you're just going to be a dick and body block them in the corner for the first like, 2 gens and then wait around their slugged body for the rest, you don't deserve the challenge.

I am taking the L, depipping, wasting my time on the ground, and losing any wee bit of BP I might have had. Hopefully the next person does the same, maybe that person will learn not to play that way, or maybe they won't.

Welp you have more faith in your fellow survivors than I

After the games I had last night, I don't have much faith in anybody. I see why people only play swf, but I'm still not taking that sword to the chest for a playstyle like that. :)

Oh, so you're worse than the killer. Your team wins because of your being obsession, and instead of accepting it, you DC like a child.

I dont blame killers one bit when people like you still DC to spite every and anyone.

It's a game. Move tf on and accept the loss.

I didnt do that, actually. I got my rancor following a bill all game and just waifu chasing him until EGC. He laughed with me about it after.

And I'm not blaming anything on anyone other than someone who DC because they couldnt handle what happened in game.

So they're a scummy killer. And? Move on.

Disconnecting makes you worse than that, because it shows you cant regulate emotion, handle a loss, or just move tf on and be an adult. You have to "prove your point" or "get the last word" by going "######### you , I can pull the plug."

    "What the killer did"

What they did was waste their entire game and got one kill, and you took it personally, as a righteous crusade to combat. Get off your high horse hon.

And now you've resorted to insulting me instead of actually debating your point? I guess that just proves my theory about people who would DC over ######### like that.

I have no interest in responding to someone who has no response except "oh you're wrong, YOURE the #########".

Bye now, hopefully you'll grow up someday.

Disconnecting shows none of that, it just shows that the killer isn't going to get the kill they didn't deserve in the first place.

Good thing I don't need your approval to be an adult. It does not make me immature to DC on something like that. If I couldn't handle it I would DC in the beginning not waiting until the gens popped. The point is you are not going to be rewarded for playing like that. I don't play this game so that I can indulge children because DCing might upset their feelings. I don't encourage DCing either. I haven't insulted you, I SAID, read carefully, if you want to play like an ahole (Not you, the person standing over someone for 3 gens because they are scared of rancor getting away) then you get what you get, which is not your cheated prize.

As for debating, what were you backing up your opinion with? Feelings? Its an opinion and not facts that DCing against scummy playstyles makes you worse than the other player. Therefore I don't need to break out a dissertation to prove anything.

And stop trying to play the victim here, reporting every comment.

For myself, I mainly use killer games to farm points and don't mind letting survivors escape with their 5k survivor survival points.I actually sweat more when the daily or challenge involves killing survivors. It just seems fair to play seriously when I have to screw someone out of their points anyway.

You can't expect solo players to play the way you want. I would advise finding an SWF group if you want to play serious.
