'new player' experience feedback

Started playing 2 weeks ago during free weekend on pc and have been noticing how bad this game is when it comes to the 'new player' experience and retaining said new players.

It would be nice to have the option to hold/toggle a key and be able to mouse-over ui elements and read what they do. There are so many different perks/effects/auras that its hard for new players to know and remember them all.

The tutorials.. You should be able to check out the various killers and perks without going into a 'ranked' game or unlocking them. Let the new player get a taste of things to give them a targeted carrot to go after.

The matchmaking system: where do I start.. I constantly see matches where baby killers get placed against survivors with alot more experience and the vise versa. These games cant possibly be fun for anyone?

Just today I've gone from playing matches against a huntress with 2.5k hours in the game that obliterated me to the match in the screenshot under where I felt bad for the baby killer because he/she had literally no chance to even down and hook one person. If that was my experience during the free weekend id be uninstalling the game and move on pretty fast. I've yet to even try out a killer just because of this.

These things really shouldn't be issues 3.5 years into the game and I think is much of the reason player growth have stagnated.

Despite all of this im having a lot of fun being a Meg and I think DBD was well worth getting, might even pick up some DLC's.

Going to repeat myself, but I blame the derank system. People don't derank as much as they used to, so they end up at higher ranks than they ougth to.. which means killers get matched with fake red ranks as well as read ones.

Bring back the old derank system, the matchmaking itself works as intended, but the people you get matched with aren't the rank they should be.
