im not sure why we took a step further away from making rank meaningful

with this new mmr system grinding the game and getting better seems even more pointless because rank just got turned into another cosmetic in the pool of hundreds we have. rewards have been asked for, for years and again we took a step away from that. whats the point of rank anymore? skill progression has no value what so ever the moment mmr comes into play the way its being implemented
