NOED
We've all heard of people being roasted for having it.
To those people who feel "It won't help you improve as a killer." Why are you immediately dismissive after finding out that person has indeed reached the fabled red potato ranks and just doesn't play that much or that hard anymore?
Do you really think there are people out there just letting you slam gens because they don't feel pressured due to having a perk that may or may not go off that is going to somehow turn their whiffs and mistakes all game into a 4k?
If you think it's going to create a bunch of boosted killers that are going to struggle in lower ranks I have some unfortunate new for you; Boosted or not everyone tastes the rainbow with this matchmaking.
However, if you down me with NOED you're a nerd. Stop playing and go outside.

I'll say this one more time.
NOED= Weak and lazy killer knowing from the beginning that the game is pretty much over.
One shot and extra movement speed= Killer can't handle the end game.
Earn your kills. 0 respect for NOED killers.

Like survivors who escapes after Ruin nerf, too easy they should earn it.
And being so lazy you can't even cleanse totems, only doing gens. Hard to respect survivors that can't counter Noed when it's so easy.

NoEd is completely controlled by Survivors. If you get caught by it, it’s your fault. Don’t blame the Killer for your tunnel vision, take a few seconds to do totems. Almost everything in this game is slanted in favor of Survivors favor.
No Killer cares if you don’t respect them if they use NoEd. Judging other people for using an ability that has a huge counter makes you a nerd. Everyone playing this game is a nerd. Go outside and get laid, maybe you could then handle loss better once you lose your virginity.

I can play a perfect game against someone like a Hillbilly, on Yamaoka Estate, WITH AN INSTA-SAW and they ONLY USE THE SAW, dodge them the entire game but get hooked once.
They kill everyone else. They close hatch. I get the game open. They NoED me. Of course I'm going to feel cheated! Of course I'm going to accuse them of being unskilled! Of course I'm going to call NoED "Baby's first crutch perk" when people like that unfairly get me or can't perform at all, so NoED and camp for a kill!
It is bad perk design 101. There is no warning and no build-up for such a game-changing, stat-altering effect.

I find that most of the survivors I tend to struggle against use Adrenaline, so I like to use NOED just so I don't get screwed over when I'm chasing an Adrenaline user. It's really just a perk that helps you out a bit in the endgame. You won't pip if you've been doing awfully throughout the trial, so it doesn't create any boosted killers.

On the few times noed activates while I play, it only ever hits 1 or 2 people, and it's gone. Or the rest leaves.
I really don't care if you wanna use it...

I don't know if you understood that was tongue on cheek joke.

Nope, it went right over my head
~_~

How do feel about being the target of rancor then?
0 -
Wouldn't know. Nobody uses it.
That and so many if my DS games result in me NOT being the Obsession. It's more frequent I get it when not running DS, I swear!

Earn your escapes, touch those bones. It ain't over until you see that next screen.
7 -
do bones then
5 -
Call me nobody then.
I find people have mixed feelings about being the victim of rancor. Especially with nemesis if you can bait flashlight users into blinding you at the end game and karate chopping them at the gate.
Imo I like to not do bones the rare times I play survivor for the anxiety of if this guy is going to send me into the shadow realm or not in egc.

This is the most realistic description of how it goes down. People act like it makes you into samurai jack.

I always cleanse totem when i see 'em. Fact is, i cleanse 3 totems but will my teammates find the other 2 and cleanse it as well? 6 times out of 10 noed pops up, so the answer is no, i can't rely on my teammates for that.

Noed counter

Is it possible to get another obsession after killing the first obsession during endgame?
0 -
There's a couple of ways. Nemesis, baiting a DS. That's pretty much it.
0 -
NOED keeps people getting mad. I love it 😁
3 -
Weirdly enough, using Nemisis, two survivors flashlighted me in EGC and they BOTH became obsessions. I think it was a bug or something, but they both got murdered with my Rancor. Not sure if they can get obsession after an obsession dies though.
0 -
They can, tested many times.

Is this really still an argument? Having NOED does not make a killer skilless. Similar to old Ruin, it is used by many killers because we need to secure 12 hooks in 6 minutes or less, which is impossible. Even with gen slow down perks, the survivors really have to throw the match to not escape. Can you imagine how outraged survivors would be if you said "Adrenaline or Decisive Strike = skilless survivor"? The NOED hate is nothing but a double standard. Fix the gen speed so that killers aren't FORCED to use gen slow down perks and NOED just to win.
2 -
NOED is a just in case perk that can be destroyed by survivors from the start of the match, and adrenaline is the survivor equivalent IMO.
2 -
"I can't rely on my teammates" so Nerf noed. Lmao
0 -
Can you not M1 a totem for 14 seconds?
0 -
I haven't said "nerf noed". I just reported what happens in games when i play survivor. When i play killer i don't use it. I said what i do, not what i want. This community duuuude.

Losing virginity is the ultimate loss because you can never recover so no thanks buddy you cant trick me with that nonsense. I'm a winner.
1 -
zero respect for DS, BT, Adren, DH, Unbreakable users as well, but hey its the meta so I guess I dont respect 99% of the survivors out there sadly.
Man Killers can only dream of having to destroy 5 of something to completely take away any of those perks, just imagine

NOED is the most balanced perk just like Hillbilly is the most balanced killer.
It’s true because I read it on the forums.

Nothing wrong with having no respect for crutch perk users
0 -
74 seconds of cleansing vs 20 seconds of totel stun time from 4 DS
Anyone that defends NOED has no right to complain about DS.
One is to defend survivors in helpless situations. The other is just free kills for bad players.
”baby's first crutch perk” as they call it. They should slap the Fisherprice logo on the NOED icon.
2 -
They should make NOED stronger, maybe then survivors would do bones and the matches would last a little longer....

Do we need 10000 threads about NOED?
If you want to defend it, do it in 9999 threads about NOED that are open, im seriously tired to write the same things all the time...
Edit: post as many NOED discussions as you like, its not like having multiple discussions makes people look like they are complaining instead of seriously discussing...
NOED is like DS, rewards you for playing bad. It doesnt matter if its countered by doing bones or eating early, in its current state these perks are abused by bad players.
NOED should require the killer to do ANYTHING, for example he can NOED only the people he has hooked before.
DS should require survivior to think what they are doing, it should disable when you start rushing the gens, unhooking, healing or get caught into Bear Trap, because it has nothing to do with tunneling.

Bear traps have everything to do with tunneling. If a survivor is caught in a bear trap they were caught by the killer's power. Should DS also deactivate if hit by GF's sneaky attack or Spirit's post-phase lunge?
0 -
Eeeeh the difference is that it was survivior himself who stepped into the trap? Not sure if you know, but Trapper cant throw his traps into surviviors lol. If surviviors will ever get an option to commit sudoku and put themselves into a dying state, then it should also deactivate DS.
Seriously: tunneling is a decision made by a killer to focus on a perticular survivor. Trapper does not know when survivior will step into his trap, its outside of his control. Its not a conscious decision, so its not tunneling.

DS:Tunnel
BT:Campers
DH: Broken af
Killers are not saints.

I'll say this one more time.
Go down to NOED= lazy singleminded survivors.
If you did bones, it would never activate.
0 -
Solution to NOED: Do bones then
0 -
Only survivors are allowed 5 second chance perks, several times on hook, and coordinated communication. Why don't they just start making bad AI killer bots? Survivors would be in heaven.
0 -
DS and BT = Weak and lazy survivor knowing from the beginning that they wouldn't be able to escape on their own.
DS being active when the exit gates are powered = survivors can't handle the end game.
Earn your escapes. 0 respect for people who hit a skill check and call it "outplaying" the killer.
See how broken your logic sounds when it's used against you?
😎

DH is so clutch end game when those last two totem auras pop up and the one you choose is lit and there's someone being chased.

NOED Killer’s know they suck and use the perk as a crutch, unless they’re doing a build that’s supposed to be toxic. Either way it’s either the player is bad or they’re a bad person.
But also either way I have Small Game and dozens of Rainbow Maps for a reason and I find it humorous to have Killers DC after they see their precious crutch perk not lighting up after the last gen pops.
