What is your least favorite perk in DBD?

This goes for Killer AND Survivor perks, and my least favorite perk is probably no one left behind, at best it’s a 12% boost to altruistic actions AFTER the exit gates are powered, And you get double the bloodpoints per action. 12% is pretty small when compared to perks like Botany Knowledge and Well make it, and WGLF gives more bloodpoints across ALL categories

I think it rewards you with great skill check hits even if you hit a good at the cost of staying in the killer's terror radius for 15 seconds.

    Decisive Strike.
I hate being locked in place and losing something i worked hard to get.
And i just feel disgusting running it.

All the Hex perks that require tokens.

Why couldn't a dull totem light up as soon as you have one token rather then have it lit at the start of the trial?

Decisive Strike - shouldn't be in the game imo.
Hexes in general being destroyed in the first 30 seconds drive me crazy.

    Left Behind
Why would you want a perk that requires you to leave everyone else to die. If you add Left Behind to your build you are basically just giving up. IMO the perk should be completely reworked since it entices survivor to let each other die.

a huntress lullaby for me. i feel like it shouldnt be a hex because you never really get 5 tokens. and when u do its not a big disadvantage for the survivors compared to devour hope.

Self Care. Makes hits virtually pointless.

Technician, don't see why I'd use a perk slot to increase chance of prevention by 30/40/50%. Barely happens anyway that I cause the generator to explode, and when I have tried it with this perk, the 6 times I have tried on generators only 1 got prevented and that's just not enough for me in order to fill up a perk slot

Probably Unbreakable and Monstorus shrine. Unbreakable is too situational and the shrine only works on one build.

    Ruin.
I hate the fact that I have to equip it at high ranks as a killer and I also have to hope that it doesn't get destroyed in the first 20 seconds or it's going to be like I never brought it to begin with.

As a survivor the only reason I hate it because the people I play with don't just power through and spend way too much time looking for ruin so by the time they eventually find it people already dead or on death hook.

If I have to pick another perk it would just be unnerving presence.

Dear god this perk is absolutely useless it's literally the definition of noob stomper.
It completely crashes people who are new to the game but any survivor average or above can basically use this to their advantage to not only increased amount of greats they get but increase the amount of skill checks they received.

Unless you're the doctor using the perk without something like huntress is going to be more beneficial for survivors.

    DS

While I was prestiging my Claudette I didnt have even half decent perk as 4th so I said to myself "just once".

It was vs Huntress who was doing really great. 2 guys on hook and I got downed. She started to carry me into hook, but I had walmart DS and after having all that pressure she lost everything cuz I hit skillcheck.

I felt so f*cking disgusted after that match that I took it off and ran Small Game 1 instead.

Pharmacy. I don't even know why would enyone pick this one when you can bring selfcare and won't need to look for a chest that might already be looted. Especially when you would like to get a toolbox but need to loot two chests for it.
As for killers it's Hex: The Third Seal I honestly don't know why would anyone pick this when it's a totem, it's now working on everything and You can always communicate with other players. It's not just about SWF, people can just friend each other in the lobby and have the steam chat.

Ruin- I'm tired of feeling that if I dont take this perk in the match will be over in 4mins and I'll only have a few hooks on people when I play on meat plant I don't run it and it's a lot of fun

As a killer, I hate Object of Obsession and D-Strike. I usually feel bad for tunneling, but I really don't mind it if someone uses one of those perks. I would never use either of them as a survivor either. I also hate Surveillance, it is the most useless killer perk I can think of right now.

As a survivor, Ruin. I can't be bothered to ever look for the totem so I just work through the skillchecks, which gets boring really quick. I hate perks that barely do anything like Prove Thyself, No One Left Behind, This is not Happening.

Pharmacy. With self care why would anyone waste a perk slot on something that just opens chests slightly faster and guarantees a med kit.

  • CakeDuty
    CakeDuty Member Posts: 1,001

I gotta agree with people who say Pharmacy.
I get to open a chest slightly faster and make less noise. That's not very useful and the fact it guarantees me a medkit that can only give me one full heal (and about a half more) makes it inferior to Self Care. Would be cool if they buffed Emergency Medkit to be able to give two full heals or have an Ace in the Hole effect on the perk where you automatically gets a Emergency Medkit + bandages, so you can get two full heals from it. It works well for a Plunder build but not anything else.

Left Behind and Sole Survivor I also find to be rather useless as they both depend on your teammates dying, something you want to avoid but these perks encourage you to let them die so they can start working.

    I have 3.

    DS, NOED, and Insidious.

DS and NOED because they reward bad play, and Insidious because it promotes playing like an #########.

Insidious, Surveillance, Slippery Meat and Pharmacy. Insidious is bad in general because it promotes camping and as a killer main I never saw the point to it. Surveillance should be longer because 16 seconds is a little short when I can just use Overcharge to see if they'll do the gen right after I leave. Slippery Meat is only good for if you know your facing Trapper (I feel like the getting off the hook part should be buffed). Pharmacy as every one here said isn't good because you can just use Self-Care. Now if you run Ace in the Hole like CakeDuty said, then you have a decent perk.

Yes, I know. But hitting great skill checks isn't a big deal. I am sure, a lot of experienced players would agree. I even work on gens with ruin and complete a gen or two even before its destroyed. It needs to be completely revamped imo.

I think it's shadow born? Well it's a war between Shadow Born and well anything the wraith has really he doesn't have any perks that are worth a slot imo but if I had to choose I guess it be shadow born.

All these people saying Pharmacy is a bad perk just shows how inherently broken self care is. You are guaranteed a great medkit and you get items faster and quieter so the Killer is less likely catch you in a very terrible position.

Imagine if Self Care didn't exist. Pharmacy would be one of the top 5 Survivor perks, but no, it's just "herp da derp, InFiNiTe HeAlS!"

I hate the new predator. It makes it impossible to see scratch marks at a distance and is completely neutered by tall grass. Why couldn't they have gone with the original idea to make footsteps louder? That would have cool and useful.

I gotta agree with you on Pharmacy and predator, with some rituals that require Quinten, I love free Green medkits. Recently I’ve been using No Mither, so healing perks for myself are obsolete

I've been running Ace in the Hole with Pharmacy and it's quite humourous. You usually end up with an add-on that gives more charges and sometimes also one that speeds up healing as well, turning that green medkit into a very powerful too.

Also the number of Syptic Agents I've gotten is pretty funny too.
