Cross play testing on PS4?
Hi, can I get an official response from one of the employees at BHVR regarding the individuals playing with names ending with _BHVR playing as killer and survivor on PC with PS4 players? Is cross play going to be implemented in the coming months? Thanks.

I'd hope it was to Xbox too. My friend plays PS4 so it would be nice to be able to play alongside him.

Currently, cross play with PS4 is not being tested. However, down the line that could very well change.

Actually it is being tested, I played against one of the employees of BHVR and they were using legacy nurse, also had the cross play symbol next to their name. My friends have had similar encounters.

Ok that weird. I’m starting to think these individuals are hacker on pc that have found a way to access cross play but it’s still cool to see that cross play is possible and very smooth

If these are all different hackers, it's a bit strange they all have the 'BHVR' suffix. And that bvhr themselves haven't mentioned it or urged people to report it.

Yea and since Divine said that one of the individuals was spotted back in August of 2019, it’s been a while and BHVR hasn’t said anything so it’s really confusing. That is why I want an official response from BHVR

In fact it's very strange, unauthorised pc/ps4 crossplay via hacking sounds like the sort of thing sony would go apeshit over and bhvr would have to make a big thing of making the issue well-known and begging us to report all instances of it happening.

They need to increase sensitivity before they add crossplay

My hunch is that they're saving the crossplay announcement for the Year 4 anniversary live stream. Remember Xbox still does not have the dedicated servers enabled and Switch lacks Nightmare on Elm Street content. Until those two issues are resolved full crossplay can't be implemented.

They arent hacking on ps4, they are using PC to somehow get on the ps4 servers. Thats how it was explained to me at least.
Still i hope they do add crossplay one day. Id love to combine the playerbase and make matchmaking better across the board.

Yea you’re right. If they are hacking, they are on pc and have found a way to enable cross play to ps4 but what’s even more interesting is that when they play killer they only get ps4 survivors, not event one pc survivor, so there isn’t any mixing except between killer and survivor.

Dead by Daylight was released on the 16th of June. So the live stream will be sometime before that date. Last year's stream was on May 31rst.

These are hackers. I've heard these players are taking advantage of the servers and hacking their way into console servers. They tend to have all sorts of stuff and some reports say they are faster and seem to be spawning near survivors at the start. Please send a report to support the next time you see them with evidence.
