blood warden should block hatch

this is for balance matters, activating blood warden this way will make more harder to exploit this perk with the end game collapse being more fun for survivors and balanced to the game

I think that if there are two or three survivors off the hook, and you hook one, BW should disable the ability to unlock the hatch with a key, because being able to use a key to escape after Blood Warden procs would negate it's whole utility; however, if there is only one player left, and the hooked individual dies, the hatch should work as normal. 3/4 is still a pass, as long as you didn't facecamp, and lose long chases, iirc.

I wouldn’t be mad at that.

It is a simple way to buff BW.

today i played 30 matches as killer, at least half of them i hook a guy and bbq someone just standing still above the hatch waiting for me to come t-bag me and go away, i will gladly use a perk slot to avoid that

You should pitch the idea on suggestion cathegory. In my opinion BW only working when the gate is actually open make no sense at all, because good survivors will simply leave gate 99%, then you have a perk 100% useless. In my view, if a person touches the gate door it should already count towards BW, since they are opening the gate.

Would be interesting to see the Entity's tentacles wrapped around the hatch so it won't open. But @Pythonheir is right that keys should be removed from chests. I feel that if the killer knows where the exit gates are since they are highlighted, they should also have the hatch highlighted too.

Keys and the hatch in general need to be looked at sometime in the near future. The game is changing, these things need to change with it. That's besides the point. I feel like this would be a fine buff to Blood Warden, I'm honestly surprised this isn't in the game already.

It's stupid to respond to an issue that Survivors are providing by giving them a free win mechanic. It should just start EGC instead - and still require the last survivor to finish Generators.

It makes 0 sense that a Killer who killed 3 survivors with 4 Generators left doesn't get their 4k because of a free win mechanic. The survivors should have done better at their own objective.

Gonna be honest, I don't hate this idea.

I'd rather see survivors that try to escape through the hatch with BW active just get pushed out of the hatch by an entity tendril.

Not that i truly mean this but

Obligatory "KiLleR tHiNkinG ThEy ArE EnTiTleD To 4K"

    I also find hatches annoying

It's not always the survivor's fault though. There's only so much you can do with potato teammates, especially since the matchmaking is buggered at the moment.

But with that said, it does feel cheesy to annihilate a team, up to the point where you 3 man 5 gen, but the last guy gets away via hatch.

If MMR proves to be a good change that pairs good survivors vs a good killer, some hatch changes might be acceptable. But given the situation now, I don't want to lose because I have 3 Rank 20 teammates crouching around the map refusing to touch gens.

At the very least, a hatch escape in these matches makes me feel kinda dirty :/

with the matchmaking fixed hatch feels really dirty, BW deserve this change and block hatches
