A Killer idea (see what I did there?)
Once the last gen is complete exit gates power up over 10 seconds (can't start opening until they are powered). And what if exit gates opened 25% faster. But after 5 seconds of not opening they regressed rapidly?
Gen speed is a hot topic. But what if we changed what happens after gens? No toolbox opens a gate faster.
Killer side: You only have to patrol 2 Gates and keep em off for 5 secs before regression starts. No more 99ing the gates if you have someone on hook. They will have to time/teamwork their escape or open the door and activate endgame collapse and work within the time limit.
Survivor side: With enough teamwork someone could keep on the gate before the 5 seconds was up and pick right back up on door progress (or head for the other gate. With multiple people, he can't guard BOTH effectively AND you open faster now)... Even with 1 person left. You do open the gate 25% faster now. Chances are you weren't getting the gate open anyways cuz that's rare but now ya got a shot since it's faster (plus perks).
Easier to open without pressure. But easier to pressure.
Just a thought. Numbers could be tweaked. But yeah. Would put in a lot more killer interaction with survivors once the gates are powered. The 10 secs just allows the killer to head to a gate. Otherwise with the speed boost, there's a good chance the gate would be open before the killer got there (as it often happens now... Let alone 25% faster opening)
What do you think?

I like it but survivors won’t lol

Any reason for this to be implemented? No? Then let's get back to the important things please 😂

Sorry. Didn't realize that "Discussions" was only for "important things". I'd imagine if there were things that were high priority there would be a "Bugs" section or something. 🤔 I was over here in "Discussions" trying to have a discussion about an idea. My bad?
Ok. Now that my sarcasm is over. The "reason" to implement this is to try to allow more player to player interaction. It encourages teamwork, survivor-killer interaction, and disables a mechanic that I personally see as annoying which is 99ing gates. 99ing a gate means that the "open the gates" objective is complete but endgame collapse doesn't start. This would force players to choose between "it's safe to open the gate now but endgame collapse will start. Or. Don't start endgame and hope that I can get the full door timer later".
Just my thoughts.
