I Understand that Behavior loves Bandaids, but can we at least get a fix that matters?

Listen, I get the appeal, bandaid fixes (specifically perks) are nice in a few ways:

  • Quick to develop
  • Cheap to develop
  • Low risk if they don’t turn out well
  • Perk “fixes” can be sold for money
  • They’re also easy excuses for core issues/frustrations

But hey, since Behavior is all on board with “just use _______ perk if you’re having trouble with _______”, then can we at least get more perk slots in the meantime?

—————————————————————

It’s a pretty simple concept.

Behavior expects players to workaround the game’s shortcomings with perks. Okay, then give them the necessary perk slots to do so. Need a few examples? Here ya go:

  • Blood Point grind is terrible? Run We’re Gonna Live Forever or Barbecue and Chili
  • Tunneling is frustrating? Run Decisive Strike and Borrowed Time
  • Field of View is bad? Run Shadowborn or Monitor & Abuse
  • Camping is frustrating? Run Kindred
  • Generators are flying because the maps are too big? Run Corrupt Intervention
  • Getting left on hook? Run Deliverance
  • Kicking Generators isn’t worth the time investment? Run Pop Goes The Weasel

—————————————————————

I could go on and on, but point is:

If perks are going to be used as a continuous bandaid fixes for core game issues. Then Behavior should at least give players more perk slots to work with.

Because expecting all of these perks to act as fixes while only allowing the use of 4 at a time is ridiculous. Unlike most bandaids introduced, the additional perk slots would actually complement previous “fixes”, and help them have a more noticeable impact on the game as a whole.
