I’m starting to hit all of my great skill checks and I notice how much faster I can complete gens
Shoot, now I see how people just completely ate through ruin, if ruin came back as it’s old version it wouldn’t affect me at all

Hmm sounds like a rational opinion, must be bait...
Honestly though they should make great skill checks give less progress. To like .75 sec each from 1.6
Would solve a lot of frustration.

A great idea I heard floating around was detaching the great skill check from the good bar. So if you go for the great and miss it, you will blow up the generator. Seems like an elegant solution to me. Oh well, maybe the devs have something they're cooking up.

I think that would make it easier to hit. If you give me an over charge skill check with unnerving presence I will hit it but if I have normal skill checks I always end up getting a great or just missing it. Idk why. The same with old ruin. The skill check being red made me find it harder to hit greats 🙃

Yea since we don't have it anymore the gens go even faster because after rank 8 ( maybe idk ) i assume by me that everyone can do greats , so gens just fly , 2 ppl with PT and great skil check hits do a gen in under 40 seconds without tool boxes, after ruin changes surv gameplay is a joke .

I'm still inconsistent about hitting greats. Oddly I did better hitting them with Ruin.

1566 hours in.
Only now during the last month of serious playtime was i able to start filling the great skill check box to max and consistently hit greats.
Too bad it will take another few months of playing to get that back since i stopped playing again for a while. I get frustrated too easy and this game raises my blood pressure. Its not good for my health to be honest. But damn can it be fun sometimes.

This is how it always was. Ruin only affected survivors who couldn't hit greats and were usually bad. That's why I never used it because it only trained survivors to hit great skillchecks or memorize totem spots.
For me personally I never once felt ruin was a nuisance to me but I definitely noticed when my teammate didn't carry their weight just because ruin was on the map. This usually forced me to ignore everything and do gens hoping the killer wouldn't find me because I was the only one doing objectives.
