Why Survivors can bodyblock each other?!
So many times I was sandbagged because of this #########!
Really, why it is possible for Survivors to bodyblock each other?

Because they aren’t made of thin air

So, why Survivors can run through stalking Myers? Or why Killer after hitting Survivor in a corner loses his collision?
It is a game, for better expirience I think Survivors shouldn't be able to bodyblock each other.

If survivors had no collision they could run inside each other making it impossible for the killer to attack one specific survivor. Maybe that's the reason.

Survivors should only lose their collision when having crows to prevent blocking eachother in certain rooms.Other than that it's fine.

Bodyblocking is a part of the game that you have to be mindful of. It's kind of obvious why you can run through stalking Myers and GhostFace and when a killer hits a survivor and I don't think I need to tell you the reason why. Removing collision on survivors would make protection hits feel pretty awkward and survivor an even easier role than it already is. It would also look really bad. Like, it would look terrible.

I can think of so many downsides.
first of all, body blocking the killer would be too easy, multiple fast vaults at the same time would be a major buff for survivors, if two survivors compenetrated get hit, who takes the hit? what if I want to protect someone cleansing a totem/doing an unhook?

Because they have a hitbox

Try playing the game a little more you’ll understand it’s fair
3 -
Because two objects can't occupy the same space at the same time
2 -
Unless one of them gets hit, then they magically can pass through one another.

To prevent hostage taking scenarios.
It's literally a mechanic to prevent trolling.
If they pin you in a wall, and it doesnt exist, they hit you twice with no chance or survival.
Same with meyers. If he blocks you and you cant pass through, he can just stalk you to a one down state.
It's very easy to understand. And if those situations didnt need to be avoidable, they would likely also still cause collision. Because objects arent phase walkers. Except for spirit, of course.

Then how will I purposely make the guy who crouched the whole game doing nothing as a red rank and got chased only at the EGC die as a "punishment" for being a bad teammate all game?
I'm just kidding (or am I?)
Body blocking other survivors is just a logic feature, they're not made of nothing, it's just a bit of logic put into the game

They not ghosts ?

So, What with the Plague, Billy, Bubba? They don't lose their collision for using power.

Not thinking only with my logical brain, but rather also with my sense of enjoyment and entertainment, I should say that, to preserve a sense of realism and to preserve the suspension of disbelief that occurs when our pulse quickens upon being discovered by the killer, when we race to unhook a survivor or mutter "come on! come ON!" while rooting through a chest or dismantling a totem, it should not be the case that, when everything else seems so concrete ("flesh and blood", if you want to say that), we should be able to magically run through each other. It would do much to destroy the atmosphere created by the game, and should, in my opinion, in my feeling, only be included where it becomes an absolute necessity to enhance the experience that is Dead by Daylight (as it is in the case of a no-clip often triggering when the killer hits you, the devs likely wanting to give you that extended chance to run for your freakin' life). That tense experience, that sense of consequence and danger, exists not apart from, but rather includes as a crucial element, that frustration which occurs when someone body-blocks you as you're trying to flee.
A big, wonderful part of this game is screaming obscenities at it.

Have you ever tried to walk through someone else in real life?
2 -
They can do that because it hurts the killer.

They (bubba/billy) hit you with it and you go down.
In reference to plague: Meyers was a very specific case when he came out. On top of that, plague cant one down EVERYONE from pinning one survivor.

those situations happen to avoid exploit. imagine being cornered and fully stalked by a myers or being cornered and being hit twice with zero effort by the killer. survivors will not get any advantage by body blocking each other.

I guess the question is... why wouldn’t it? Someone sacrificing themselves for another person isn’t completely out of the question in the “real world”.

Even that wouldnt hep since actions like pointing can be used to avoid crows.

In real Life I would kill People with chainsaw, knifes, hammers, etc instantly.
And Survivors will be exhausted after 2 minuts sprinting.

Body blocking and survivors colliding with each other can actually be of benefit to a killer. I've been downed plenty of times trying to vault through a window or over a pallet, but another survivor was in the way and I couldn't vault it in time. If survivors could phase walk through each other, then survivors could all vault through a window at the same time. That makes no sense. Huge downside from the killer's perspective. Also, if they walk through each other, and you swing at them, who would get hit?

I mainly use it when I rescue somone off a hook to prevent tunnelling.
