Kazan and Rin use the same sword
As the title says, Kazan and Rin actually use the same weapon, taken from different time periods. I think this is super interesting, because even though we already know the Entity is outside of time, we haven't actually seen a 'paradox' like this until now.
- Rhombus design along hilt
- Hilt ends in a thick circle with two metal pieces attached
- Two strings dangling off the end of the hilt
Both blades mention they're passed down for generations

Well, yes but actually no.
Same type of sword, different length. Check out the Yamaoka Estate and you'll see that two swords are missing from the rack. Before Kazan, there was only 1 missing.

It's pretty clearly established that Rin uses the wakazashi (short sword) and Kazan uses the katana (long sword), even though Rin's is called a katana. Since the swords were a set, it would make sense they have matching hilts.

Yeah, my guess is that they used katana as a catchall for "Japanese sword" when they created her, figuring the generalization would be fine, but then they made The Oni.
