The one thing that makes NOED frustrating

You don't know if the killer has NOED until he has attacked somebody.

This is going against the design principle of hexes as the developers mentioned they want survivors to know if they are cursed when it comes in effect.

Let's compare some hexes

Hex: Huntress Lullaby: Immediately gives survivors curse information once they hit a skill check (which should only activated after at least one hook IMO)

Hex: Haunted ground: Survivors are exposed, they immediately see that they are cursed.

Hex: NOED: Survivors are exposed, they only get the information when someone is hit.

This is inconsistent information for survivors IMO, which makes NOED frustrating to play against.

Shouldn't you be playing as if every killer runs NOED, thus cleansing every totem you see?

The thing that makes NOED frustrating is the survivors too lazy to cleanse totems. NOED works like every other hex.

Ruin: Only notifies a survivor if the effect is applied in their view.

Huntress Lullaby: Notifies the survivor as soon as they start a generator that Lullaby is active.

Haunted Grounds: PAINFULLY it's a risk. If you know they have Huntress Lullaby or Ruin, but you see 3 totems...make your choice.

NOED: Same as ruin - only notifies the survivor when the effect is actively shown to them. In this case, someone getting hit.

Stop asking to be spoon fed and have your hand held. Cleanse totems. Get out of yellow/brown ranks and get better at the game.

If the killer didn’t kill anyone and you did all 5 gens expect noed. Problem solved. Or just cleanse all the totems. What in Heavens yellow Rank are all the posts about NOED coming from.

there are things called totems, there are 5, cleanse them and easy. the seriously dont take long, there are perks to help you find them even a map or you can just learn the spawns. if youre all struggling doing the gens, leading chases and getting totems then you probably wasnt meant to escape so you should just move on? perks fine, its useful at the end and thats it which can be removed by just getting totems so i dont get why people complain...

@willoftheboss How? You're cleansing five totems, each at 15 seconds. One gens worth of time split among four to ensure the killer doesn't have access to an endgame perk. While I agree that a totem counter would be helpful, the things killers need to juggle is in no way equal to cleansing five totems.

Seriously. I just about said the same damn thing in another thread on NOED that is on the front page. The amount of hand holding is gettign out of hand. They are not learning. The only thing they are learning is to shout the loudest. And they are still not getting better at the game as the quality of rank 1's show on streamers' games. They suck. They are bad. They make bad moves all the time. They do weird stuff. They run in straight lines. They dont do totems. They dont... nevermind.

I would just love if we had a counter for remaining totems, as a solo survivor you can cleanse every totem you see but there’s no real way to know if anyone else did any aside from seeing bones.

Compare this to a SWF who can say to each other, I got 1, bill got 2 and Jim got 2 there isn’t gonna be NOED
