Do I have to buy my clothing twice?! Ugh
Okay, so I finally finished remodeling my living room and hooked up the second console and TV. I do not have ANY of my clothes on the second console, just the charity case ones. I have two separate accounts as well. Idk if that makes a difference or what. I just don't get why I need to pay for the outfit twice to use on both accounts but not the charity case ones. Unless there is something I'm missing?? If that's how it is, then fine I'll eventually get over it. But for $10 a outfit you'd think I could use on my my accounts let alone both consoles I own. Thanks for any help. This is not a complaint discussion, so I'm sorry if it looks that way. Just a little frustrated.

You'd need a cross save, and they haven't added that just yet. Its being brought to their attention so Id wait before spending more money on things you technically already own.

The Charity Case is a DLC, so it is shared between accounts, clothing items are purchases in game, and are therefore not DLC, so are not shared, I hope this clears things up.

Cross Save rarely, if ever works across different accounts on the same platform, it's usually between a a single account one on each platform.

Understandable. The reason for this is because DBD doesn't have cross-progression. Your two accounts will share DLC, which is why you have your Charity Case cosmetics, but not in-game progress, which includes not only things like perks and character levels but also anything purchased from the in-game Store.
If you're willing to wait, though, the developers have been asking a lot of questions about player interest in cross-progression recently, so we might be seeing it in the game at some point in the not-so-distant future, and if that does happen you probably won't need to repurchase your cosmetics.

Kind of figured that's why they didn't show up. Thank you both for the replies. I'll continue buying the clothing twice just to support the Devs until they add cross progression. Thanks again guys.

Just remember, most if not all cross progression games do not support accounts of the same platform, so it's unlikely you'll be sharing clothing across those accounts, say Xbox - Xbox, but the clothing would be shared between Xbox - PS4 etc, in this case I don't think cross progression will help with your current situation.
Edit: As a side note, cross play / progression does not guarantee that we take out clothing too, just be aware of that.

If it's two PS4s then you have to have the one with the dlc switch primary accounts to the other one. If it is two different consoles like Xbox and Ps4 then what everyone else said.

That's always that way because the one console is my girlfriends and she uses my account as primary so we can play the same games without buying twice. It doesn't work, I tried many times. Only the charity case clothes show up on both our accounts. Also whoever said this doesn't work with most other games is false... That's why I let her use my account as primary, so we don't have to buy any DLC/clothing/maps twice for a specific game. Just this game gives me the issue.

Also it's obviously two PS4's because I said I use the same account on both consoles. That's currently not possible between Xbox and PS4... Just to clear that up. I'm super tech savvy, I just was curious if there was a reason why I couldn't get my clothing I paid for on both accounts without buying them twice.

I wasn't referring to game sharing, DLC sharing when I said it doesn't work with most games, what doesn't work with most games is cross progression being used on multiple accounts of the same platform.

I wasn't referring to game sharing bro. I'm saying 99% of the games we own I only have to buy clothing/maps/etc only once as they'll both show on each of our accounts. Hope that cleared that up.

Sorry if it looks like I came off rude. Was never intended, was just clearing the air lol. Thank you again though guys!!

Did you buy the actual DLC or did you buy it separately? Have you tried to uninstall then reinstall the game?
Back when I played F13 it did that with me and my brother's console. I gave him my 'account' so he can play online and have my DLCs. But one day it stopped working. No DLCs would work on his account, only kills. Sadly at the end we had to buy them. There could be things online saying solutions to the problem.
Also you can try again every other day to see if it works. This is more a PlayStation problem than the actual game.

Make sure you downloaded your DbD save from the PS cloud, that should put all your progression on the current system. But if it's thing she bought on her account, your save wouldn't have it. And if you don't have a save on the cloud, upload it so you can pull it back down. Your non primary console won't do it automatically.

That's weird because all the Friday the 13th DLC we only paid for once and it worked on both accounts. Sometimes when it does work, refreshing your licenses does help. It's probably just how Behavior wants the game so it's not a huge deal. Like another game is Call of Duty, if I buy a outfit aka Bunny outfit on Blackout... She had to purchase it as well because of what we discussed. It's probably exactly how they want it I'm assuming. I just feel others should be $5 a outfit instead of $10 especially when a lot of people buy them twice like my girl and I. If they ever fix it to where I don't have to purchase it twice they should at least consider lowering the cost of a outfit. I respect it takes time to make the outfits and input the coding in the game. I just personally think they'd sell way more if they were half the cost. I also understand that the licensed killers are so highly costed, definitely understandable.

It's because Friday The 13ths clothing was DLC, not an in-game transaction, it's a limitation of the way they're sold and would not properly convert to sharing as it's tied to your In-Game Cloud Save, not your PSN Account.

We shall see what the future holds. It would be cool if they were cheaper. You could wait for cross progression and see if it will change anything. If not well...buy the outfits she really wants, i guess.
