The reaper

A dark corrupting Killer, able to track down Survivors and surrounding them with darkness with his power, Death’s Corruption. When a survivor is trying to get to the light within the darkness, a husk of their body is corrupted by it and will grab a survivor until they escape or death gets to them first, who can you trust when death is looming.

His personal Perks, Delaying the Inevitable, Death’s Curse & Don’t Be Scared, gives him the ability to locate survivors and to keep them from living, when their time has come, death isn’t stopping anytime soon.

Difficulty rating: Intermediate

Height: Tall

Terror Radius: 32 meters

Movement Speed: 115%

Lore

At a young age, Jevon Read had a fascination of playing as the Grim Reaper, finding animals he assumed were old or were already close to dying, always finding joy in taking the lives of these animals. This fascination was never found out, though he always seemed weird when his parents ever questioned about what happened to the family dog.

Jevon at the age of 16 wanted to get better at his job as the grim reaper, he followed an old woman down the street before she took a shortcut through an alleyway, he took out a blanket and wrapped it around the woman’s eyes and mouth, pushing her into a smaller alley where he stabbed her. The police found the body but no evidence.

He wasn’t done yet, he walked to the corner store he went to all the time where he was greeted by a nice old man who works there. He asked if he had this product another store had but it was closed, wondering if the old man had it in the back. Jevon follows behind him while he looked for it, taking out a knife.

“Your time has come”

With security footage, Jevon was found out to be the one who killed the man, but after also confessing to what happened to the family dog and that he killed the old woman as well, and why he did it, he was put into a mental hospital. One day after a woman who was a caretaker for the hospital opened up Jeven’s room, he stabbed the caretaker’s leg with a makeshift shiv, quickly running into a hallway of the hospital and jumping through one of the windows.

The police followed a blood trail which led north, finding some dead animals on the way before they reached Ormond, Canada. The blood trail suddenly disappeared, his scent is also not being able to be tracked at all by the canine units they had.

Nobody has seen Jevon since, some people think he died from his injuries, some people think that the Grim Reaper still roams somewhere to this day.

The reaper's Perks

  • Don't Be Scared: If a Survivor looks directly at you while in your terror radius for 4/3/2 seconds they will scream and their aura of where they screamed will be revealed to you for 3 seconds.
  • Delaying the Inevitable: Get a noise notification when a Survivor is healing another Survivor which is in the Dying State. Survivor’s who are in the Dying state have their recovery speed decreased by 3/4/5%. Healing progression speed on Survivors who are in the Dying state is decreased by 4%
  • Hex: Death's Curse: Every time a survivor is placed on a hook, Death’s Curse gains a token up to a maximum of 8 Tokens. When Death’s Curse gains 8 tokens, the perk activates and every survivor instantly takes damage. After the perk is activated, the perk is deactivated and cannot be activated again. After it is deactivated, the totem becomes dull. The Hex effects persist as long as the related Hex Totem is standing. After a survivor is taken off the hook, they are given the blindness effect for 80/90/100 seconds, this effect persists even after the hex totem is cleansed.

Load-out

Weapon: Death's Scythe

A large sharp, thin blade with a long wooden handle.

Power: Death's Corruption

The Reaper has a power gauge that builds up over time. The power, Death’s corruption, can be activated by holding the power button. When you successfully use the power on a Survivor, the power gauge is immediately depleted and will start to build up again.

When activating Death’s Corruption:

  • The Reaper needs to be staring directly at a survivor to fill up their Corruption Gauge.
  • The Reaper’s Terror radius is reduced to 15 meters
  • If The Reaper loses sight of a survivor while using Death’s Corruption, then his power gauge will be depleted by half and any progress on a Survivor’s Corruption Gauge will stop and will start to deplete slowly.
  • Survivor’s movement speed is decreased
  • You can cancel out of Death’s Corruption which takes 3 seconds, it also depletes the power gauge by half.

If The Reaper manages to corrupt a Survivor:

  • They are put into the Injured State before being placed into a maze of darkness, if they don’t find the way out within a timer then they are put into the dying state.
  • While the Survivor tries to find a way out of the maze, a husk of their body walks around and acts like a normal survivor.
  • If this husk gets close to another survivor, it will grab them, injure them, and scream out, showing an aura for The Reaper to see.
  • If the survivor finds the way out then he will take the place of their husk of wherever it was. If they don’t make it out then they will be put into the dying state of wherever the husk was as well.
  • If a survivor makes it out of the maze while their husk is grabbing a survivor, it will let go.
  • When a survivor leaves the maze, they can’t take damage for 3 seconds.
  • The survivors have a 10% chance of escaping the grasp of the husk, each attempt taking 5 seconds.

“It’s your time to go, don’t be sad, and don’t delay it, it’s only going to be more painful if you do” - The Reaper

Add-ons for death's Corruption

Iridescent Face Paint

Ultra Rare

A dark essence surrounds the face paint which keeps the shape of a skeleton. It’s boiling hot with the Entity’s power.

  • If you fully corrupt a survivor, it grants the ability to kill that survivor by your own hand
  • Tremendously  increases the amount needed to corrupt a survivor
  • Removes the ability to send the survivors to the maze and to make husks of them

Corrupted Mind

Ultra Rare

You can’t be sane when you’re Death, it comes with the job.

  • If a survivor drops a pallet while getting corrupted, the pallet instantly gets destroyed
  • If a survivor vaults a window while getting corrupted, it is blocked for 70 seconds
  • Slightly increases the cool-down from canceling out of Death’s Corruption

“There’s no point from running away from death, it’ll catch up to you at some time” - The Reaper

Survivor: Shaun Price

Shaun Price is a charismatic singer, being able to antagonize the killer.

His personal Perks, Go Away, Cocky Attitude & Focus, allow him to give his team information about the killer and stall the killer as well.

Difficulty rating: Easy

Lore

Shaun Started up a small band at the age of 16 with some of his friends, they weren’t ever popular in the slightest but people in their school liked their stuff. One of his friends started to act weird and always asked if they could practice in the woods, and when they asked why he never responded with an actual answer. After they denied the idea over and over again, he backed out of the band suddenly, saying that he needed to work on a job he got more than a band.

After he left, his other friends left the band as well, none of them being happy about the direction it was going. Shaun fell into the dumps after this, wanting to become popular from his band and not going anywhere with it.

Shaun heard that his friend was sent to a mental hospital, being told of what he did by his family. Shaun couldn’t believe it, that what used to be his friend did those things. One of his parents asked if Shaun wanted to talk to him in the hospital, Shaun declined but felt horrible doing so, feeling like he was abandoning a friend, but he was scared of him.

Shaun needed to do something to take his mind off of all of the stress he was going through, the loss of a friend, school work piling up, and his marks dropping. Shaun started up a social media channel, uploading some random skits, stories and music to it, after a while it got some traction.

While he was taking a vacation up north with his family, he decided to go to the abandoned ski facilities of mount Ormond for some content for his channel. Shaun never came back and they only found his camera with unexplainable things on it.

Shaun's perks

  • Go Away: When a killer is within 4/6/8 meters away from you while you’re on the hook, your health bar depletion is decreased by 70%

“Hey! T-this isn’t fair!” - Shaun

  • Cocky Attitude: Watching the killer sparks up some ideas of how to outsmart them. For every 10 seconds you are standing within the killers terror radius and are not in a chase, you gain a token up to a maximum of 4. When you enter a chase with the killer, you gain 5/6/7% Haste status effect for 2 seconds if you have a token. For every 2 seconds the status effect is activated, a token is consumed.
  • Focus: This perk activates when you crouch still for 3 seconds. When the perk is activated, you can see the aura of generators, survivors, the killer, and totems in a 6/7/8 meter range. The sound of your breathing and grunts of pain are reduced to 100% while you crouch still to activate the perk. The perk is on a 20 second cool-down after it is activated.

"Alright, j-just calm down Shaun… you’ll make it through this, like you made through life to get to this point” - Shaun

The first perk should be called "Don't Fear Me" because... you know.

For the Hex, 80 seconds of blindness is a bit much for a passive effect but I like it when Hex perks have a secondary effect that persists when the totem is destroyed.

Not a huge fan of a cooldown power, but let's see what we got here...

It's kind of a weaker Night Shroud which is saying a lot really. And what happens if a survivor breaks LOS, then goes back into LOS so they can break it again? Do you just instantly lose 100% of your meter?

And what's stopping you from just following the Husk around until they escape the maze? Even if they're invulnerable for 3 seconds you're still faster than them. You can just position yourself so they can't reach any good tiles in time.

The power also completely depends on the survivor's skill to down them. You're not able to influence their ability to beat the maze. All interaction is on the survivor side. So not only is the power on a cooldown but when you get it to actually work there is still no interaction on your part. Doesn't sound fun to use to me.

Also, what's the point in cancelling the power exactly?

Losing 100% of your meter doesn't sound right, so maybe only the first time they break it you lose half of it.

I thought about people just following the Husk, so i kinda just thought of a lazy way to try and prevent it, and that was making the survivor invulnerable for some time. I could increase the time, or think of something else.

I thought of add-ons that reduce the timer of the maze, though i don't think that fixes it or it being fun on the killer side.

And the cancelling out, idk, i thought because it slows you down and maybe the killer doesn't think they can corrupt them in time, you could cancel it and get a hit. Though, if they're in a deadzone then might as well corrupt them, and if they get behind a wall or something, then it cancels it out anyways, so i can see why there isn't really a point.

    Thanks for the feedback.
