Frustration with the Archive

I find it very annoying to have challenges that can only be done with killers and survivors that are obtained through DLC or level coins, wouldn't it be possible to make these killers and survivors available for play when this part of the file is open?

    If you enjoy this game enough that it annoys you to not have some content. Maybe you should support the devs and buy the dlc. Cosmetics on the other hand....

    That's at least partially fair but as someone who JUST got into the game, I think it's a little unrealistic for me to spend about $70 give or take (and that's assuming you got the game itself free like I did with Xbox Game Pass) to get the all that DLC for survivors/killers that are specific in the Archive.

    This isn't exactly a dealbreaker or anything for me with this game but that does suck. It doesn't seem like it would be very hard to individualize the Archive a little bit and not have a bunch of my Archive include The Spirit, one of the killers I don't have.

    The challenges can be done at any time, forever. They never go away, they never stop unlocking the lore. The only thing that goes away is their reward of Rift Fragments after the current Rift closes. The challenges do not need to be completed to finish the Rift, and you can get to the end of the Tome Level without doing any of the DLC killer-specific challenges.

    If you're talking about the current archives on Xbox, Lullaby is free it would be 14 dollars, if you bought both chapters, ten if you bought Auric cells. Eventually all the original characters will get archives, but non of the licensed according to the devs, and you can buy them with iridescent stones. And you can get the level rewards without the dlc characters, you just don't get a bit of rift xp and bloodpoints.
