My proposition of a Leatherface Rework

Hello, as you know Leatherface issus one of the weakest killer in the game, and one of the most frustrating if the killer decides to facecamp.


So I have many ideas to change his gameplay, and I think this one could give him a chance to be a real alternative to billy, and also to be self-consistent with the movie's killer.


1. He couldn't use his chainsaw when he want, it would be like a power whose need to charge every 45 seconds.


2. When he uses it, he would have a speed boost during 15 seconds a little bit slower than Billy, but handier than the Oni's one. During his power activation nothing could stop him, even the palett and he could break windows during 15 seconds. So during his power activation he Will ignore paletts, stun and Windows (except a head on stun). If a survivor enter in a loker it will not hit him but will break the locker for 15 seconds, and ending the power.


3. No stun if he hurts a wall or other object with his chainsaw


4. When you hit a survivor with his rusty chainsaw he will have a permanent status "Tetanus" with 3 steps during all the game. Every 45 seconds the step change.

First Step: repairing/healing is 15% slower

Second step: survivors starts to make noises, like coughing. Repairing and healing are 30% slower. Leaving a gen will be 5% longer.

Third Step: survivors have got the broken status, repairing and healing are 45% slower. And survivors starts to bleed a lot, with big traces of blood on the floor. You move 15% slower when you're down, and you healing yourrself 15% slower.


5. To cancel these effects survivors will have to go to medicine stations. But these stations will only cancel these effects for 1 minute. For every survivor hit by the chainsaw, these effects will affect them all the game, and after going to a station, the timer with the steps will begin when you're inside the terror radius for 3 seconds.


7. Hitting a survivor with the hammer won't give any of these effects.


8. Survivors can only go to stations after the second step.


9. During a chase, survivor's steps changes are 50% slower, so it will take more time to passing step 2 to 3 when you are chased.

10. Unhooking a survivor with Tetanus will not give you the status


Now let's see the add-ons:

Rose: 1. [Give a name] putting down a survivor with the chainsaw avoid him to move on the floor (can be counter by Tenacity)

2. [Give a name] putting down a survivor with the chainsaw avoid him to heal himself (can be counter by unbreakable or flip flop)

3. [Give a name]: Your obsession starts in thé first steps


Purple: 1. [Give a name] : Increase your terror radius while not using your Power. Decrease hit while using your power. The chainsaw will make no noise

2. [Give a name] : survivor in step 1/2/3 have 30/40/50% chance to have a reverse skill check. Missing a skill check will reaveal their mates aura who are less than 20 meters.

3. [Give a name] : Every time a survivor go to a medicine station, your power (speed boost with a chainsaw) is 2 second longer (20 sec max)

4. [Give a name]: Unhooking a survivor who have the Tetanus effect will Give the status to the unhooker. The time between passing steps are 20 sec longer.


Green : 1. [Give a name] : Windows and lockers are broken 25 seconds longer. You get stun if you Hurt an other object

2: [GAN]: Considerably increase your chainsaw boost, your mouvement speed become 110%

3: [GAN]: Considerably Increase your power time (10 to 20). Decrease the loading of the power (from 45 to 1min)

4: [GAN]: Considerably increase the chainsaw rotation. Destroying a Palett/Windows will stop the power

5: [GAN]: Moderatly reduce power reloading, from 45 to 25 sec.


Yellow: 1 [GAN] : Reduce power loading (45 to 30)

2: [GAN] : increase chainsaw rotation

3: [GAN] : survivor with 2nd (and 3rd) steps of Tetanus will suffer from the blind status

4: [GAN] : moderatly increase the time at the medicine stations for a survivor

Brown : 1. [GAN]: Increase the time at the medicine station

2. [GAN] : Reduce power reloading (45 to 40)

3 [GAN] Chaisaw can be launch a little bit faster

4 [GAN]: 100% BP on deviouness. No Step 3 in Tetanus



Sorry for my english, it's not my language. If You have other ideas for a decent rework, I'm all ears! And I put a lot of things but it's just ideas.

    I think you're adding and changing way too much. It feels like a bad combination of Legion and Billy, and I don't think it would be fun to play against. They should start by fixing Leatherface's addons that don't currently work, and maybe buffing the speed/distance Bubba travels while using his power.

    He certainly needs a new mechanic, changing addons or his movement speed will not change the fact that he is boring to play as and against.

    I'm agree with archimede. Cuz everything LF does, Billy does it better. They've got the same gameplay (addons are the proof)


    He needs to have more/différents mechanics to be interesting. If he could breaks infinite loops zone for a few seconds it would be really intersting to play with and against

    But they DON'T have the same gameplay. Their play styles and strengths, while similar, are not the same. Enclosed spaces with multiple people are EXTREMELY dangerous against a Bubba. The basement for example is a death pit if the Bubba you're up against is competent. He's good at punishing hook saves if he can get there in time as well. Billy is kind of good at that too, but not NEARLY to the degree that Bubba is. And Bubba doesn't have the mobility that Billy has. The addons are proof that they have a similar power, not the same gameplay. I would never play Bubba like I play Billy, and vice versa. Sure, maybe he needs a new mechanic, but adding a three step program, new objects to interact with, and changing his power entirely I don't think is the way to go.

    I think Leatherface needs a smaller terror radius, add ons that do something for his kit (he doesn't even have any ultra rares iirc, really. Outside of spark plug they're kinda lame)

    I'd go a step further and have Leatherface interact with lockers or a new interactable that lets him temporarily equip corpse parts for different temporary buffs. (One for speed, one for stun resist, etc, but they fall off after like, 2 minutes.)

    For a game that got its inspiration from Leatherface's meat hooks they sure don't seem to like him very much.
