Standardized survivor items aka "survivor power"
Instead of having multiple of same item we take one of the versions and set it as the item. Then rework addons to accommodate this change.
Survivor power would be free just like killers power.
Yellow medkit could be new medkit.
Yellow toolbox could be new toolbox.
Yellow flashlight could be new flashlight.
Green key could be new key. (Obviously it would have to be buffed. Ultra rare add on would allow you to open hatch)
Green map could be new map. (Same as key, it would have to be buffed)

I personally like playing Survivor more than Killer right now, but I never really bring addons with my items. Mainly because I see no reason to. Brown Toolboxes right now is already pretty good by itself.

No, this would completely bust certain items, even with add-ons being changed
Keys being the biggest contender here, why do you think dull key and skeleton key are UR and VR? (I just re-read it, and noticed the ur add-on opening hatch, now keys will be useless then)

Did you skip the part where I said items would be free so in the end if you want to open a hatch with the key you would have to use 7k...
How would they be busted if you don’t know how addons would look like.

No but serioisly, I would leave only 1 medkit, 1 key, 1 flashlight and 2 toolboxes (1 repair and 1 sabotage)
Make addons and items not consumables but available for every game like perks, instead add some max "addon points". For example you have 5 points and thats enough for a (green + yellow) or (purple + brown) or (red + nothing), so you cant spam Iri + infantry belt every game anymore just because RNGsus have them to you.

I re-read it and noticed that without opening hatch, keys would need add-ons to be worth using and outclassed by toolboxes and everything else
I'd rather keep the grind and make killers the only one with a power

No. If there's going to be one item of each then mame it the green versions at the least. Each item would need buffs as well as possibly having the opportunity to hold three add-ons to compensate for the loss of high charge items like the Ranger First-Aid Kit and Commodious Toolbox.

Take what i wrote there with a grain of salt. Or you could simply still have 2 addons per item but there would be another addon which would give you 26 more charges.
It doesnt matter what rarity the item would be because it would have to be adjusted regardless. Then you would have to adjust the addons to said item.

I had actually thought of a similar idea before. I feel like it would be alot easier to balance around survivors bringing items EVERY match as opposed to having to try to balance around no items and supped up items at the same time. This would also remove stuff like commodious toolboxes altogether while promoting other less used items like maps (you dont get nearly as many maps as you do other stuff since theres only 2 possible maps to get and the rarity starts at green).

Its not like the concept wouldnt work. I mean its default on killers.
Free items , less bloodweb clutter, stronger addons.
Current strongest item plus 2 strongest addons = 2 strongest new addons plus free base item.
Might work. With killer compensation ( someone had to cram it into this thread)
