The "Sacrifice During EGC" Challenges Are Terrible

Seriously, we had this issue in the last Tome where it was "sacrifice 2 in one game during EGC" and everyone complained because it's undoable under normal gameplay circumstances unless you farm. It's the same with this. Every single game you have to hard throw to get to all gens done, then go open a door giving all 4 survivors time to leave through the other one and pick up any slugs you have, etc.

Already had to do it seven times so far, and everytime is worse than the last.

While I agree that the challenge itself is a bit non sensical (it basically promotes bad gameplay), at least this time it's not a master challenge, meaning that you can play normally, eventually you'll get it.

If you want to speed through the Tome I'd suggest to move on to other challenges and leave it for later. Killer challenges are less than survivor ones anyway.

It's literally all I have left to do. The only way I can see if to just go AFK as Myers, and hope people come investigate when the gens are done so I can T3 camp them.

    Thanks BHVR.

######### you're right. Guess I'll play Bubba and rev camp a slug until someone opens a gate.

    Even more fun.

    yeah i hate those.

like, my games usually dont even reach that point - and when they do i very rarely ever get a sacrifice in the EGC, due to the survivors 99%ing doors anyway.

    This.

Of all the things, some of these challenges are what make me think whoever at BHVR makes these decisions don't even play, or understand, the game.

If it doesn't have a lore note attached I skip egc challenges. Like if I have no other challenge for killer to do I'll pop it on but its not reliable y'know?

    1. You do not need to complete this challenge in one game.
    2. You can slug last surv, close the hatch and then hook him.

i'm not even sure why they decided to put this challenge in again after all the complaints and issues last time.

i would use noed and blood warden if you have it, hope you can down a survivor at the end, open the gate then hook. or is it just 1 sacrifice that you need this time round? its still a ######### challenge either way.

you could farm with the survivors throughout the game and then turn on them at the end. i mean, i hate the idea of that but really the devs are pretty much promoting toxic and ######### play. it's a tough challenge.

i leave a lot of the killer challenges especially if you pretty much have to be toxic to complete them.

    1. Duh.
    2. Relying hard on RNG for hatch spawns, bad design.

    Honestly just play wraith equip

    Noed, bloodwarden, infectious, deerstalker

Do nothing until all gens pop in like 4min but be in position to ambush soon as last gen pops.

Can get a couple kills easy. If it doesn't work you wasted 4min so just try again

Can you not see how this is absolutely garbage design?

I really don't know why they included this challenge again.

if you have it, i would use noed and blood warden, hopefully down a survivor after gens are done, open the exit and then hook the survivor. or do you only need to sacrifice 1 survivor this time round?

or you could farm with the survivors all game then turn on them at the end. i hate the idea of this and wouldn't do it myself but i mean, the devs are pretty much promoting toxic and ######### play and its a crap challenge at least this way, everyone would have got enough points to pip anyway.

i just skip the challenges that you pretty much have to be toxic for.

Meh it's kinda fun tbh. I do it when bored just to switch it up. Surprisingly 4k a decent amount.

    Give it a try!

I did mine w NOED leather daddy.

The AFK technique works a charm, as does a full frontal assault, just wearing them down to last hook. Remember you can open gates and be sure to do so once you've got someone down, then tunnel and camp away!

    Good hunting sir!!!

It's like, everyone misses the point. It's not that it's completely impossible to do no matter what, it's that it's so unbelievably unlikely in regular gameplay, and as such promotes playing in a scummy and boring way for both sides. We had this issue last time and they brought it back twice. That's the problem.

They're supposed to be.... get this.... challenging!

You dont have to complete every challenge to finish the tome, and the tome never goes away.

You also dont have to do it all to complete the rift.

A battlepass by nature encourages players to spend money to skip tiers and save time.

The challengs are a good lore and cosmetic objective added to the game, something to do when you're bored/ have no goal.

If you can do them, awesome. If you can do them in time to get extra rift progress, even better!

But please let's not keep complaining about challenges being challenging or requiring you to play a specific or niche way to accomplish it. Thats their entire point.

This challenge made me play like a dick. I dominated the survivors, and when 2 were left I was "farming" with them. Once all gens were done I knocked down both, opened gate and killed them.

I'm just not even trying to do a lot of the challenges this time around. It sucks because I'm way more than halfway done with all challenges and just hit level 35 today. Knowing that the challenges are only going to be harder in the next level, that's very discouraging. It took me about 20 hours combined to get the open the hatch twice and escape with jane and a stun challenges done. So much is luck or screwing your teammates and then also getting lucky. It's just not fun and it's honestly ruined the game for me as a survivor. I think the challenges actually help killers because survivors play like morons just to get them done.
