Anyone else TOO altruistic in the game?
I am, and I need to stop, but I keep doing it.
I'm not talking about making bad saves, and I'm not talking about going for the points. I'm talking about not wanting to leave anyone behind. I have lost tens of thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, of BP's because I stuck around to try and make a save when I could have escaped. It's stupid, but I can't seem to help my self.

I have left a short video describing my altruistic habits in only 2 minutes.

Yep. A great example was camping clown (first time I’ve ever seen one). I knew where the hatch was and I was like, yeah but altruism. Nobody escaped. Mainly it’s because of solo queue and low social skills I don’t know if they want to be saved or not

We all wanna be the hero in a trial at times. Especially for those of us who have WGLF. I myself am an opportunist when it comes to hook saves. I've run around a trial unhooking left and right and I've let all my teammates dance on the iron for their own stupid mistakes.

When I'm running my farming build I am too altruistic. I always run BT so almost no save is unsafe. However there are times when I run across the map to save someone only to find someone else was closer. I could have stayed on my gen. When the gates are open, if the killer has a one shot, all bets are off. You gotta know when to hold them and when to fold them.
I've had 1 person in the basement against a trapper when the gates were open. I left. Ironically I was the only one who escaped. The 2 that attempted a rescued got added to the basement. Then they start yelling at me. Even if I helped it would have been hook swapping. Not everyone was making it out.

I always go for it. I'm at the point in the game where I don't really care if I die. I don't die needlessly mind you, but if I think there's a 1% chance to break the noed totem and go for the save I'll try it.
Unless I'm on a mission that requires me to escape. I'll remember ya little buddy. Fly little shadow thing flyyy be free!

Same OP. I don't insta-save, even if I'm close by I want to give the killer time to leave, but I died 3 games in a row last Saturday trading hooks with the last person, even in basement. I did that for the survivor on basement hook because they ran the killer for the last two gens and I couldn't let them go out like that. I need to stop, but the minute I leave someone on the hook they are the ones messaging me to say "Gee thanks," lol. I'm used to being left behind in comparison. I don't mind dying some games, but I also want to escape too sometimes.

Yes, i'm also hopelessly alturistic usually to my own detriment. Sometimes it's just better to escape because i've seen entire teams end up dying trying to save one survivor.

If I'm injured with no second chance perks and no other teammates, then yeah. See you space cowboy.
Though if the conditions line up, then yeah I can at least try to help.
