Can Kindred override the undetectable status effect?
Just so I don't get camped with insidious or certain killer powers.
Edit: I know that Kindred doesn't override the undetectable status effect, and so I'm asking if the devs can change it so it does. I'm not asking whether or not kindred overrides it or not.

Don't think so. I've been camped by insidious Bubba today while having kindred and I couldn't see his aura after a few seconds.
Tho' I remember another scenario few weeks ago when I could see his aura near a hooked survivor, so I might be wrong.

Kindred has one main purpose, and that is to promote healthy gameplay. If being undetectable overrides Kindred, then what was the point of bringing Kindred in the first place?

To see if the killer is near the hook and see what your mates are doing so you know if you should go for the save or do other objective?

Wait, I just realized, what do you mean "so I don't get camped"? The killer can't tell that you have Kindred. Not only that, but campers will camp, even in plain sight.

to see if the killer is near the hook... thats what he's saying buddy buckaroo, you can't see if the killer is near the hook when they have undetectable status, but you can still see your teammates so it's not all bad

I think it does not override Undetectable. But it counters Insidious as you can see the killer stand there and then suddenly disappear. Pretty obvious if you don't look around anywhere else.

I don't know if kindred works through undetectable because I only run it when I solo. It's not like those randoms can talk to me and tell me it's working. I run it in the hopes that if it's a face camping bubba they can see him and hope they do gens. The other highlight of kindred is survivors can see everyone else.

I do not think it overrides kindred because I was running it against the pig and i got ambushed while going for the unhook. I guess it is possible she was out of range and then closed in just at the right moment, but I am guessing she was camping.

I see what you're saying, but you could also say the same for killer. Like insidious, it serves one purpose, to be undetectable so if kindred overrides that then what is the purpose of bringing it.
I actually wouldn't mind if it did counter a perk like insidious, but I don't like it when it counters a killers power.
