ds idea

I don't think many people would like this idea but here it is well 2 ideas

1 in the offerings menu on the survivors screens list there name and perks they have so a solo can see ok player 3 has bt or player 4 has ds and so on to allow you to let the person with the perks make the play.

2 change ds to a 30 second cool down but the cool down renews on every ds hit so if you are tunneling and you don't stop then well eat more then 1 ds

    Here is my idea for ds.

    Tremsously cut down the time it last to about 20 seconds. However if the person with ds is put into the dying state within the 20 second timer, the timer pauses until they are picked up (either by the killer or by a survivor healing them.) This way it's much more an anti-tunneling perk that cant be countered by slugging. If you slug someone who just got off the hook you are still technically tunneling them. The only reason this isn't that big of a problem now is because the killer still has to wait 60 seconds, so if you tremendously cut down the time the only way to make it fair and work as intended would be to have the timer pause during the dying state.

    2. I dont think it would solve anything, my idea for DS is

    1.DS timer is paused while on a chase

    2.DS deactivates when:

    • Survivior using it is the last survivior not dead/hooked/downed
    • Survivior using it starts performing any action (except vaulting and actions like mending)
    • Survivior using it gets caught in a Bear Trap
    • Another DS activates
    • 2 other surviviors are put into dying state (-30 seconds per down)

    @Archimedes5000 @steve0333 so say you hit ds what does it do to stop the real tunneling and not the fake tunneling.

    Getting chased off hook isn't the killers fault as they can't unhook you but choosing to Target only you after you have used ds on them is real tunneling as it's a choice they make.

    And yes being slugged counts I've been picked up from a slug who knows how many times.

    It would be a bad idea to have it paused during a chase because if that survivor is a really good looper then he could have the killer in a chase for more than a minute only for the killer to be ds'd in the end. Makes more sense to have the timer pause when the survivor is downed because that way it counters what it is suppose to which is being tunneled and downed right off hook. Only if the timer is made a lot shorter.

    I would add another condition: ds is completely deactivated once all gens are repaired or the hatch is closed. This way you dont get a free escape at the end.

    My idea for ds is based on preventing a survivor from being downed right off hook before they even have a chance to really do anything. That is the problem a lot of survivors have and that's what I think needs to be countered. If the killer is tunneling someone who loops them the entire game then what would they need ds for? That type of tunneling is already a huge detriment to the killer.

    While BT does to an extent already counter this, the problem with BT in solo games is that you have to rely on other survivors to have it, it's nothing you yourself can control. Also if the killer is stealth or Freddy then BT is easily countered.

    But did you see the deactivation conditions?

    The only way you could get in a chase with a DS user is if you tunneled them, because otherwise it would deactivate.

    So yes, if you tunnel good looper then you still deserve to get DSed

    Timer paused while slugged is a terrible idea, bacaise surviviors would just rush for unsafe unhooks without BT without fear of killer downing them both.
