Rank System Is Incomprehensible

I really hope the new rank system is going to be better than the current one. I just finished a match:

  • Completed 1 gen solo
  • Helped with 2 other gens
  • 1 hook rescue
  • 2 solo heals of other survivors
  • Helped with another heal
  • Had approx. 16k points

End of match my rank progression is -1

How is all that -1 in rank progression? At the very least that should have been no progression either direction. I've had matches where I did less and ended up with +1

Sometimes it feels like pipping up or down is decided by a random generator at the end of a match. There is no rhyme or reason that I can make out whatsoever

    the pipping system seems broken sometimes. i've had 29,000 points and still not pipped. i would maybe safety pip but not gain a pip.

    did you get chased also? you are probably missing bold points. have a look at your emblems and see which ones you scored low in. also doing totems will help towards your final points/emblem scores. escaping the killer will help too.

    you don't get much for gens.

    also what rank are you? because the higher the rank the more you need to do.
