New Paragraph Suggestion: Dying Light (1 new Survivor: Kyle Crane)
Kyle Crane
A nimble free-runner, adept at outmaneuvering dangerous pursuers.
His personal perks, Forward Roll, Backlash, and Camouflage, give him the tools he needs to escape from chases and hide his presence from nearby danger.
Level 30 Teachable Perk: Forward Roll
Leave no scratch marks when falling from a tall height for 5 seconds.
Forward Roll has a cooldown of 80/70/60 seconds.
"Just do what I say, all right? Now. Jump down to the very bottom. Don't be a wimp." -Rahim
Synchronizes with:
- Balanced Landing (functions as a similar escape combo as Lithe + Dance With Me)
- Dance With Me (has a separate cooldown and activation condition, for the same effect)
- Iron Will (keeps your direction from being tracked by sound after breaking line of sight)
- Lightweight (further weakens and misdirects your ability to be tracked by scratchmarks)
- Lucky Break (prevents you from being tracked by scratchmarks and blood trails)
- Quick and Quiet (can instantly and quietly hide in lockers or vault behind obstacles without being trailed by scratchmarks)
- Spine Chill (warns you in advance if you are being approached to prevent being spotted)
(Note: Forward Roll has a longer duration than Dance With Me, due to the stumble mechanic of falling from tall heights. Without Balanced Landing, much of Forward Roll's duration will be squandered from stumble. To compensate for its stronger dependence on perk combinations than Dance With Me, but comparatively stronger effect from perk synchronicity, Forward Roll also has a longer cooldown.)
Skill as it appears in the original game:
Level 35 Teachable Perk: Backlash
Increase movement speed while using flashlights by 75%
Breathing volume and footstep volume is reduced by 60%/80%/100% for 3 seconds after a Killer Blinded score event.
"If you need anything, come see me. To start with, here's a UV flashlight and a remote control. You run up on a Volatile, give him a face full of UV." -Spike
Synchronizes with:
- Bond (helps to set up flashlight saves or quick chase interventions)
- Breakout (helps you kite and harass Killers who are carrying Survivors while avoiding hits)
- Camouflage (lets you quickly hide, then run away after a blind)
- Dance With Me (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Dead Hard (can quietly dash past a blinded killer while injured)
- Diversion (can misdirect the Killer after a quick, silent escape)
- Empathy (helps to set up flashlight saves or quick chase interventions)
- Forward Roll (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Iron Will (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Lightweight (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Lucky Break (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Quick & Quiet (helps you to cover your tracks after a blind)
- Streetwise (gives you extra usage of your flashlights)
Counters:
- Stridor (temporarily masks your breathing while the Killer is blind)
(Note: 75% increased movement speed while using flashlights would be just short of normal running speed for Survivors)
Skill as it appears in the original game:
Level 40 Teachable Perk: Camouflage Edit
For each 15 seconds you are in a chase while injured, you gain a Token up to a maximum of 2/3/4 Tokens.
After crouching in place for 2 seconds with at least 1 Token, Camouflage activates.
While active:
-Your Aura will not be shown to the Killer within 64 meters.
-You cannot be revealed by Killer Instinct within 64 meters.
-You resist the urge to scream.
-The volume of your grunts of pain are reduced by 50%.
-Moving, or interacting with an object or Survivor, will consume 1 token and these effects persist for 6 more seconds. Running or vaulting while Camouflage is active will double the speed in which these effects wear off.
"Get back to the tower, and be careful - the nightmares are awake. Don't let them see you!" -Jade
Synchronizes with:
- Babysitter (reveal Killer's aura without revealing your own)
- Calm Spirit (also prevents you from being revealed by crows)
- Dead Hard (helps you survive chases while injured to build stacks)
- Deliverance (hide more easily when broken and vulnerable)
- Distortion (won't lose tokens if superseded by Camouflage)
- Lucky Break (prevents you from being tracked by bloodtrails while injured)
- No Mither (lets you gain tokens from M2-reliant Killers, and stacks for 100% injured sound reduction)
- Object of Obsession (becomes a range-limited 1-way aura perk at the cost of holding still and using 1 token)
- Resilience (speeds your actions if you decide to stay injured and play evasively)
- Second Wind (you can hide more easily when broken for an easier recovery)
- This Is Not Happening (helps keep you hidden for the injured action speed bonuses)
Counters:
- Legion (prevents you from being detected by Killer Instinct when a nearby teammate is struck by Feral Frenzy, so long as you aren't spotted)
- Ghostface (detection marks will still show your general direction, but your exact location will not be revealed by Killer Instinct)
- Demogorgon (can buy yourself a few extra seconds of Killer Instinct immunity to cleanse a totem, finish a generator, or seal a portal before detection)
- Bitter Murmur (can hide your aura after generator completions)
- Barbecue and Chili (if 40-64 meters from hooked teammate, you won't have your aura revealed)
- Territorial Imperative (can buy several extra seconds from early detection for a risky basement save)
- Infectious Fright (if nearby teammates are being chased, you can prevent your own detection. Especially useful against Nurse and Oni, who must M1 injure between snowballs)
(Note: The effects have unlimited duration so long as you crouch in place with at least 1 Token. Walking, crouch-walking, healing, repairing, cleansing, sabotaging, or opening exit gates will immediately consume a Token and keep these effects for 6 seconds, allowing you a brief window of time to safely perform these actions when you'd otherwise risk detection. Rushed actions, such as running or vaulting, will double the speed that Camouflage wears off, to prevent it from being chained multiple times across the map or giving you too long of a cloaking effect during a chase. This is also how Camouflage works in Dying Light - running, fighting, and climbing all drastically reduce the duration of the effect.)
