That challenge is badly worded. What it means is "on four separate occasions, unhook a survivor safely or take a protection hit while using WGLF". So it's essentially the same as getting four stacks of the perk at tier 3, although you can still complete the challenge if the perk is at a lower tier and you're unable to get more than 2 or 3 stacks, as long as you perform the four required rescue/protection hit actions.

The challenge "Protect Forever" requires you to get 4 safe unhooks OR take 4 protection hits for your fellow teammates. A Safe Unhook is when you a Survivor is unhooked from the hook and doesn't get hit right after. A Protection Hit is when you take a hit for a Survivor that's injured, taking a hit for a Survivor that's healthy does not count towards the challenge and is not considered a protection hit.

This all has to be done with the perk "We're Gonna Live Forever" equipped as well, any Tier of this perk will do. You'll know if you completed this when you get tokens for the perk We're Gonna Live Forever, which is indicated next to the perk with the number 4 under it. Having the Numbers 1 means you took 1 protection hit or unhooked someone safely, 2 means you did that twice, 3 means you did this 3 times and so on for a max of 4 tokens in the perk itself.

This has to be done in ONE match altogether. Which means if you unhooked someone safely/took a protection hit twice, than it won't carry over to the next match you attempt this challenge in.
