You know what’s bs? There is literally nothing you can do if a gen is over 60% complete.
You’re damned if you do, damned if you don’t whatever you do. Defend the gen? Those survivors know you’re guarding it and will move on to the furthest one. Chase someone? Well now those jackals know they’re free to bust out gens. Patrol? Wait for you to leave before humping it all together. Even if you get there and they’re all right there, they know they have the numbers and the cool down time to just ignore you.
I kick and spit on the gen and move just a few feet away before my hud lights up green and by the time I get back they complete it right in front of my nose.
Killers are in dire need of buffs and survivors have way too much leniency. Especially if Bhvr INSISTS on pairing yellow killers with rank 1 butt buffoons.

I think I see the problem here, you're trying to keep a generator that's giving more problems than it's worth keeping.
You should probably let that generator go because if you're struggling to keep it from getting powered, that's likely a sign of you having a poor patrol pattern. Having a poor patrol pattern wastes a lot of time, sacrificing that generator to improve your control on other generators is the better call. 😀

I've regressed gens from 90% to 0. There is always something you can do.

i disagree strongly. I’ve seen killers wipe people with ease, if survivors are that organized they deserve to beat you. Why do you feel entitled to 4Ks or not getting whooped? Why should 4 people come in and give you a good time but they all suffer walking out of a match with 5-10K points while killers walk out with 20-30K? Get outta here man. Find some people, hit some people kill one or two and move on. Understand that survivors have to work harder for bloodpoints and it fun to escape sometimes. Don’t tell me you’re going the whole match without finding someone. I want my points if I’m playing survivor then I could really care less about dying if it made a good impact on the teams outcome. But sometimes death can be swift and it’s unfair. I don’t wanna hear about survivors needing nerfs or killers need buffs. Killers are fast, have plenty abilities, have Mori, one hit knock, how much more do you need to be Spoon fed in this game?

You wanna make this game harder on survivors I think killers should be slower or have less melee range. There nothing more frustrating than getting slammed from around a corner a mile away because killers have this god like melee attacks. Well on the other side of vaults and I’m going down, I look back and the killers still on the other side of the vault? Wtfff.... killer buffs... please.. yeah let the devs hand you more than you already need

Pop Goes the Weasel

This is an issue with how dedicated servers work, not Killers or their attack range. This has been discussed to death and was the main focus of the last Dev talk live stream.
@op: don't waste your time with it then. If you don't have pop and/or aren't good at patrolling you are going to fail keeping any gen.

...that's absolutely adorable

I’m on Xbox . And Xbox doesn’t have dedicated servers.

Frequently killer is host and crashes the game if things don’t go his way. Just because you don’t get 4K doesn’t mean back out and ruin everyone else’s game. If I vault through a window so can the killer do why is he able to just swing at the window and everyone in the area goes down (exaggerating) but it feels that way. It’s ridiculous that chases feel short sometimes because they’re already fast why the hell is their melee range so lengthy? I already don’t like going down in one hit let alone getting hooked once and Mori’d right away. It’s not fun leaving with 5-10k points while killer reaps it in.

The idea is to usually stop a generator from getting that much progress in the first place if you plan on defending it. This being said, there are ways to slow down the repair.
Thanatophobia buys you extra time to arrive.
Pop Goes the Weasel can undo a large chunk of regression when it's available.
Disco(r)dance alerts you to multiple survivors on one generator.
Carter's Spark prevents all actions for a short duration potentially giving you time to act.
Bubba's Chainsaw can down multiple survivors.
Evil Within (3) has the capacity to rapidly down multiple survivors.
A Demon Strike can down multiple survivors with splash damage.
Hunting Hatchets can apply damage at a distance and briefly disrupt repairs (they waste time dodging or take the hit and lose a few seconds.)
Chainsaw can instadown a survivor and let you reach the gen quickly.
Spencer's Last Breath let's you go through walls and reach gens quickly.
Dream Demon lets you teleport to unfinished generators.
Jigsaw's Baptism punishes gen repairs.
Yamaoka's Haunting lets you stealthily reach a generator.
Of the Abyss let's you keep tabs on what generators survivors are near and lets you quickly get to them.
Feral Frenzy can potentially override repairs with the mend action.
The devs give us a LOT of tools pick a few. @pemberley
If the problem persists I can try to offer extra advice but I'll need more details.

that's called latency , Its a you problem not the killers lunge.

If it too far leave it. I only keep it if i can get survivors in a 3 gen strat.

So have I. As the other 3 get completed while the one you’ve guarded regresses.

Thats pretty funny
