If survivors had an audio glitch that negatively impacted them, it would be fixed ASAP.

Imagine if there was a bug that muted the terror radius and heartbeat for the survivors. It would get fixed rather quickly. Meanwhile killers have to deal with VITAL information being withheld because the sound decided to crap out and survivors get away when they really shouldn’t have.

I was playing Plague and of course the red and high purple survivors get the last gen done. I manage to infect the Dwight to full when literally he went completely silent (btw no iron will.) He would have been caught dead but because that happened he got to the exit and of course the ever gracious and humble survivors think it’s cool to tea bag a killer well out of their league.

I honestly do not blame people at all for dumping killer. It’s so demoralizing and frustrating.

Pretty sure there was a Tinker bug that lasted weeeks... gave permanent no terror

I don't think it happened for aeeks, the major difference is that it only affected one perk, at one level and was easy to find the source.

When a bug happens randomly (I've yet to see it as killer personally) and with all perks, across all builds across all killers is much harder to pin point, especially when nobody is reporting the bug with actual evidence to help them narrow down the cause, they just come onto the forum's to complain about it instead of recording the issue to help out

I’m speaking of the Tinkerer level 2 that caused infinite no terror... it lasted at least two weeks but don’t let that fact get in the way of the OP argument

Okay, relax people. The Wake Up bug was fixed in a week and a half and it was widely abused but fixed quite fast.

remember the bug where survivors owuld hear the chase music whenever someone else entered a chase?

got fixed in just a couple of days.

took them 3 months though to turn the volume up on footsteps, cause killers couldnt hear them.

it was... quite interesting to see.

@Peanits I feel like this deserves a response.

Killer nerfs and survivor fixes are done VERY quickly (Oni nerf and DS bug with Doc for example). Meanwhile, the sound bug which only negatively effects killers has been in for nearly 6 months now, and it took almost 3 months to fix the Wraith/Spirit lunge, and they still aren't completely fixed yet. I think we deserve to be thrown a damn bone here.

That was actually game breaking and considered an exploit. HOWEVER, people were never banned for the wake up exploit. Meanwhile, people were banned for the Legion exploit. Double standards be damned.

I think it's pretty obvious it's a complex problem. Killers used to be able to hear an injured survivor if the survivor was inside the Badham basement and the killer was standing outside the school. The terror radius has also been bugged multiple times for weeks or longer. Stop playing victim.

I rarely defend devs, check my posts if you don’t believe me, but this sound thjng is one I almost can’t fault them for. Considering it only happens sometimes, there is no rhyme or reason so it could take a long time to fix. If it only happens to one killer or with one survivor or in certain maps or if it happened every time someone was slugged it would be an easier fix... it just happens whenever for whatever odd reasons

I remember in 3.0.0, the sound was actually kinda decent. Survivors began to complain that they struggled to pull off their sick jukes. Two hotfixes later, the sound was garbage again. Hell, there was actually a couple of Survivor sound bugs. They were gone by 3.0.2.

Survivors didn't complain about "good sound" at all lmao, why do killers always have it out for survivors and try and blame them for every issue the game has? It's so embarrassing.

The sound was actually good for Killers back then. Killers could hear the Survivor trying to hide next to them and reacted accordingly. You must've forgotten about the complaints or you're just ignoring them.

I'd love to see these complaints, although you'll make some excuse not to provide them, I'm sure.

Can't really directly compare legion blades and wake up bugs/exploits if you ask me. The former could essentially completely stop people from playing the game after stacking just a few times. And while I'm by no means claiming the people that knowingly abused the wake up bug weren't dickheads, it didn't have that particular problem.

And it's for the same reason no one got banned for the Tinkerer 2 bug when that was a thing, or the PWYF bug that was around at the same time as the Wake Up one. Unfair and unintended advantage? Sure. Legitimately gamebreaking? Not really.

Some streamers figured out how to do a sort of hot fix yourself. Go into your own audio settings via your audio card, or computer settings. Turn off Surround Sound, and Bass.

The game has had issues with sounds for a very long time. Which tells me they still can't figure out why. Thinking they simply ignore killer issues is ludicrous.

That was only Tru because he had changed his own setttings.

They really don’t know how to program sound, I mean literally moving my camera view as survivor when working a gen makes it go from like 10% to 100% volume level
