How can I be a nice killer?(Question to survivor mains)

chenais
chenais Member Posts: 69

I am a killer player trying to play in a fun way for survivors, but I do not know what survivors want exactly. I want to be fair-play, but I need people to answer these questions, and then I will have a complete book of things to not do to be a nice killer.

Survivor mains reading this post:

-What is your top 5 of killers you hate going against?

-What is your top 5 of perks you hate going against?

-What is your top 5 of add ons?

-What is the top 5 offerings you would hate the killer to use? If possible, try to say what the killer can do to use the offering without it being a problem for you.

-What are the 5 killer builds you hate going against the most?

Play the way you want. But, if you're actively looking to make the game fun for the other side as well, try to not hard camp and tunnel unless necessary. This in the end is actually more beneficial to helping you win as well because camping and tunneling reduce your map pressure in most cases. Some people hate slugging, but honestly I know a lot of people who really don't care for it considering it's the best way for the killer to actually apply pressure, so try not to worry too much about that either. The only other thing I can think of is just not bringing moris every game or something like Iri Head. But like I said, play the way you want to.

As it stands, there aren't many OP addon combos or killers left in the game so you can't go too wrong. In the end, playing as a survivor is usually stressful and annoying because of your teammates, not the killer.

It's less about who you use or what you take, and more how you play.

Biggest thing to make the match fun for Survivors, don't camp or tunnel. That will make them enjoy the match more.

Dont bother, its great that you want to be nice and all but even if you play 100% fairly and let them have a chance you would be hit by the EZ BB KILLER. There is just no way to please the salty survivors players, most are pretty chill people though. As long as you dont facecamp when there are still many gens remaining or you dont go out of your way to focus on killing a specific player during the entire match. Just treat how you would like to be treated to play as and you should be fine

a fun game is just a fair game, no try harding on either side, though I think survivors would be a lot more cool with a lot more things killers do if they would just be able to put themselves in their shoes.

Anywho, just to answer your quesitons (im not a survivor main though, I play both sides, hope it sitll counts).

    • FREDDY by miles, hate what they did to my boy.
    • Nurse can feel pretty cheap
    • Ermmm honestly the rest is fine

    Perks:

Well this depends heavily on the killer, so I mentioned Freddy but that is also mostly because EVERY FFING FREDDY RUNS POP and its just so cheap, so pop but its situational.

Noed but again, situational, if the killer was basically was proxy camping the entire match, leading people to believe they could unhook but nope they cant and THEN also ahve Noed....yeah that is just so cheap.

Nurses Calling, just a cheap perk imo, One of my friends runs it on just about all his killers and its just cheap af.

But again, all situational, really I dont mind perks as much as obvious perk builds/choices, like Billy with Enduring, Spirit Fury, Pop/Ruin, idk NoeD or something.

    Top 5 Add Ons:

Again, just the cheap overpowered crap, which imo all add ons are, I dont run add ons ever on killers myself. But ya know Insta Saw or Insta Hatchets are particulary cheap.

    Offerings:

Mori, thats it, just cheap, not much a killer can do to make that ok apart from running it against an obvious 4man team with items.

Feel like I answered the killer builds already.

Plot twist: The OP is pretending to be harmless, but actually the only thing they want to know is the build that's most hated by survivors. 😈

Killers: Spirit spirit spirit spirit spirit

Perks Make your choice- Knockout(IF slugging only) - Franklins demise - Insidious(people who use this are most likely hook camping) - Infectious fright

Add-ons: Iridescent head, Most of spirit add ons.

moris both pink and green are lame specially if hard tunnel into a quick mori.

Builds: any build that is made for camping/hard tunneling/Slugging.

Even if you do what others say if they lose or win they will find another reason to insult you. People are animals.

I rarely post in the forum anymore but I thought i'd add my two cents.

Honestly, as trite as it sounds, and i mean this for both sides..remember its a damn game. Now I get why people are so combative with each other, any game that has sides is going to be a bit of a s**t show. Imbalances, bugs, bias, trolling etc it all ends up with the mentality of us versus them.

Me personally, I stopped getting involved in all that and i never bring it into a game. Because it is a game and whether another person might declare they don't care if the other side has fun, and that's their right, I think i'd rather everyone had a fun game so that each session makes it worth coming back for more and not a bag of stress to dive into.

You don't even have to be 'nice', I'm all for the killer/survivor who gives me a run for my money, and if you kick my butt, well all's fair. I'm not going to blame your perks, build or add on's, you are using what the game has given you (Okay ebony mori might be a tiny bit strong but it ain't the end of the world) The real simple way to think of it is...just don't be a d**k! Don't facecamp and tunnel right off the hook, don't farm your team mates off the hook, don't teabag at the gates(I know some do this to say gg but most killers ain't going to understand that), don't drop the survivor near the hatch just to shut it in their faces. In other words, win or lose, do it with some maturity and don't use it to ram salt/victory down your opponents.

I get that not everyone is going to show an appreciation of someone trying to be nice, but there hasn't been a moment in the history of this game where everyone was happy.

That's genuinely all some of us ask from both sides. Bring your best, give me a challenge otherwise i'd get bored. Just don't be a d**k.

I'm sorry if it wasn't quite the response that you asked for but honestly, what and who you bring don't really matter to me when it comes to the other side being nice.

    Game on peoples!

    Play what you want to.

But the best thing you can do to "be nice" is hook and leave for someone else. Dont camp, let everyone have a shot at the whole game, and keep rotating targets. Which is actually a decent strategy anyway, but still.

If you slug someone because you have no hook, just leave them as bait for heals/not getting gens done.

Just don’t camp or tunnel (unless you are playing against a toxic survivor) and i’ll be happy!

Since you have to work 4x harder than survivors, nice becomes very much a luxery.

I guess if you don't camp the hook denying altruism that is nice enough.
