why is the matchmaking so broken?

i play on ps4 and i keep finding survivors with red ranks (when i play killer), when im only 11 and its impossible because theyre too good for me and when i play on survivor i often find killers rank 1. the matchmaking on survivor sucks, i’m sorry to tell this, but i keep wait 5-10 minutes for find a lobby

    Matchmaking is known to be bugged at the moment. The devs don't seem to be doing much about fixing it, because they're about to implement a brand new matchmaking system which will render the current one obsolete anyway.

    So the answer to your question is, it's broken because it's bugged, but it will soon be replaced so we won't need to suffer it for too much longer.
