Totems - should be more
Why are there only 5 totems each match? If each match spawned 8 to 12 totems, it would give survivors more to do other then gens. Could help inner strenth users. Gives killers more time and could potentially benefit hex totems. At the least there should be offerings to increase totem spawns. Just a suggestion, what do you think?

this is a buff to noed... so no.
This post was made by the no no noed gang

Sounds like a good idea to me, and with the fact that survivors have to cleanse all totems to avoid NOED (as good survivours would). It would slow the game down which would aid in the speed of games issue as well.

As a survivor main its only a buff if between 4 survivors you dont cleanse all totems

Exactly. With gens going so fast this would be a simple solution to slow the game down at least a little bit

ya ever play solo queue? I do every totem i can find, but my teammates never do it. and with 8-12 totems, that chance of a solo queue survivor cleansing all totems b4 the gens are done are almost zero. This would make solo queue even more of a nightmare.
Hell, i would make an entire build around cleansing all the totems, but all the gens get done so fast (or the killer chases me for too long) that i alone cant cleanse even 5 totems. How do you expect me to do 12 totems alone?
If they did increase the number of totems, they would need to give a totem counter in some way.

Players would do even less Totems when there would be so many of them. Cleansing Dull Totems for a Perk that the Killer might not even have is far from optimal.
If there would be more Totems on the Map, they would not be cleansed because it is more unlikely that a NOED is gone. Resulting in less time on Totems instead of more time.

Increasing the amount of Totems won't do anything. Survivors still largely ignore the things because unless the killer is running Noed, dull totems are harmless.
What I'd much rather see is several more perks that do part of what Hex: Thrill of the Hunt does. Where it gives the killer 1 token per totem still up and a minor buff per token.

I play solo a majority of the time. I usually cleanse 3 to 5 totems a match without a problem. Adding a totem counter to small game could be great?

To add a counter would be bad, because then the mystery of "if a totem still exists" would be a known value. Sure SWF's get away with just trading the information of who did how many totems, but the whole concept of the totems is that they are a hidden value that you need to find and destroy. I tend to make a quick run around small maps when we reach 2 gens remaining to get any left standing totems, and goto the known totem spawns of big maps - counting all the already broken totems I see as well to see if I can ensure all 5 have been cleansed. Most times I confirm all the totems have been destroyed in under a minute.
At the same time I remember most of the totem spawns of each map, so the same can't be said for a lot of other players.

The only reason you would cleanse totems are due to one single killer perk. Who in BHVR thought that would be fun and interesting. It would be better to add a totem counter + reasons to cleanse totems besides NOED that isn't a perk. It would be like a secondary objective.
