Load times & potato computers

Hello,

I don't know about anyone else here, but the vast majority of games I play have long load-in times. At times, they have been up to 5 minutes, and that is with no one disconnecting.

I think, as a survivor, it's is a little unfair when you've already sat in queue for quite a while and the killer has some crappy laptop from 2006 that they inherited from their grandfather's estate causing everyone to load in slowly.

Therefore, I think if the killer takes too long to load in, say 1.5~2+ minutes that the survivors should be able to go in and start playing/doing gens. It wouldn't be too different from how games normally are when the killer doesn't really do much in the first minute or two anyway, the gens will get done regardless.

Cheers.

It's not always the killer that takes long to load in, in fact a lot of times it's other survivors taking forever to load in. I very rarely have killers dc during loading. Idk what time of day you are playing survivor but I find that in the morning survivor queue times are super quick, less than a minute, and then later in the day killer queue times are super quick. If a survivor or 2 take too long to load in should we let the killer go around and start killing? This would just make gen rushing way worse.

Yes, absolutely if they take too long to load in the killer should be able to go around and start killing. Perhaps this would provide incentive for players to upgrade their computers and stop wasting the time of 4 others.
