Listen for other survivors before picking up a downed one, look at the wall if possible when picking up a survivor. Remember who has a flashlight in a lobby. If they don't time flashlight save correctly immediately look up, down or away from the direction they are trying to blind you from after regaining movement. If somebody attempted a save before wait for a few seconds before picking up a downed survivor and see if they'll come running in. Also leatherface has franklin's, so you can put it on if you're having a really hard time

    Here's a few tips:

-If you suspect someone is close, don't pick up the survivor straight away. Walk over their body, pause and then look around. You can bait them into thinking you're picking them up only to turn around and go for them.

-If you know what direction a survivor is at/distance, you can pick up the survivor with your camera facing the opposite direction.

-Lightborn, is a perk which makes flashlight saves very difficult.

-Always try to face a wall/obstacle so survivor's can't get a good line of sight to your face and thus can't save.

It's about awareness really, if you know which direction the survivor is coming from you can do a lot to counter them saving the survivor with a flashlight.
