Making a survivor wait out the EGC timer :(

This has happened to me before and it’s totally unnecessary. Unless trying to save a teammate who has been hooked twice with a flashlight save is considered toxic, then nothing I did during the game was toxic. I wasn’t even successful & he got the kill. The killer was not able to down me during the match. I didn’t care about myself. I was more interested in helping others. I was glad by my being chased that the other guy alive got the exit door opened & barely escaped. I think some killers get pissed that you outplayed them during the match that if they end up downing you then they have to be vindictive and find a way to make you pay. WP, you got me. Great. Now hook me and it’s over. We both move on. It’s ridiculous that I have to wait out the EGC timer because someone has to be petty. He should be satisfied! He got the person who eluded all that time. I’ve had matches like this before where the killer will pick you and quickly bring you further away from hook, let you crawl, pick you up again (if need be). Some of these killers really know how to time the pick-ups & drops so you don’t wiggle free. It’s like they’ve got it down to a science. Granted not 100% are successful. I wish there was a fair way to change this so the survivor can call it a day without repercussions. After x amount of time, press this button to surrender yourself to the entity. Thank you for listening to another frustrated player.

How did they "make you wait out the egc timer"? I can't really see a way that this is possible. It sounds like you just couldn't escape before it hit or you didn't bother trying to escape.

So you are frustrated that YOU chose not to exit to try and deny the killer his/her K? You could have left, ran unbreakable, or perhaps the killer got DS several times in that match (you know, the totally fair 2nd chance perk) and decided not to risk it. Either way, just move on to the next match. Killers are expected to “just get gud” when gens are blazing away. Lol the entitlement

i think you missed the point of my post plus you’re making assumptions. I didn’t choose not to exit. Where was that in my post? I tried to crawl to exit as said in my post. I can’t run unbreakable after the fact. I believe he got hit by one DS, but I don’t see how that justifies this instance of petty behavior. Explain to me how I’m being entitled when I’m simply asking that I be hooked & sacrificed? Geez.

He is allowed to do as he wishes. It isn't exactly good sportsmanship, but it isn't breaking any rules either.

Just another reason we need a "concede" button

There's no reason for either Killer's or Survivors to be toxic, it's unsportsmanlike, and it's destroying the games community.

"YOU chose not to exit to try and den..." Uhhh, what was that emblem called? Alturisb, Alturisk or something. Rings a bell?

"Just run Unbreakable" Sure, why not just bring every single perk to a match right?

"Perhaps the killer..." You do realize you are making an assumption right? Cause if not it would be a weird way to back up your claims...

I hope you got my point. This random toxicity is just awful in every way.

Yeah pal, some people just feel the need to show that they are "better". They think downing a survivor means they are a better player than them when the whole point of the killer and their loadout is to do that a bunch of times. My recommendation is to just open a video or such in your phone while these people bore themselves to death, works well when waiting in queues as well. Cheers.

I understand. Yes, that’s exactly what I wish there was. I just worded it a little lengthy.

You’re right. As soon as I knew what he was doing I should’ve switched channels for a few minutes and did something else just like when you’re left to bleed out. I hope someday there is a concede option for these types of scenarios.

I think the OP means when killers pull the scummy move of downing you during the EGC and instead of hooking you letting you die right then they just slug you or dribble you all over the place or something and let the EGC timer run out and let the "entity kill you." And yes it is petty and just encourages people to rage on you in the post game.
