Does Dying Light stack with Thanatophobia additively or multiplicatively?

I'm curious to figure this out. Additively would make it a rather strong combination at a maximum of 49% slowdown, but multiplicatively would be almost negligible at 21.28%. Does anyone know? And are there other perks that stack in different ways?

There may be a few exceptions, but almost every percentage in the game is additive.

    2 stack Dying Light (12%) + all injured Thanatophobia (16%) = 22%

    Coulrophobia (50%) + Sloppy Butcher (20%) = 70%

    Botany Knowledge (33%) + Resilience (9%) = 42%

While you already got your answer, you might consider the bad synergy vetween those perks.

The stronger DL gets, the more likey you kill a survivor on hook. Which means a weaker Thana.

Also the obsession will be able to heal others quickly, dimishing Thana.

I think the idea is to cancel out some of the healing percentage the obsession gets with a full 4 stack of Thanatophobia.

In terms of gen regression, the combo works quite well, especially on Killers like The Plague or The Legion since they can keep everyone injured all or most of the trial.

Oh, I'm not debating whether or not Dying Light's a bad perk. Which it is. Giving one survivor free Botany Knowledge and increased unhook speed for a debuff that, even at max stacks, doesn't undo the damage? Stuff of lunatics. I'm just wondering if anyone can confirm 100% the way they stack.

They stack, it's actually a common build that a lot of Plagues use.

Usually if a perk doesn't stack with other perks it'll say this in the description itself. But yes, Dying Light and Thanatophobia do work together with their Gen reduction percentage and counter-acting the healing the obsession gets with Thanatophobia as well. The math was already done for you above as well.

As for confirming if they stack that way, you'd have to test it yourself to find the 100% answer. But as said above, most if not all percentages in the game is additive. So 1% + 1% = 2%, stuff like that.

Thanks for accepting my answer. I want to add to it that when you do calculations for DBD everything is based on charges per second. Buffs/debuffs affect c/s. You then divide the number of charges required to perform an action by c/s to find out how long that action will take. Most things are done at 1 c/s base, so when something says X% buff/debuff you add/subtract it from 1.
