Using your killer power, survivors not healing, grabs, and hook suicides shouldn't punish your rank.

Using powers or perks that give survivors exposed, discourage/prevent healing, or just having a survivor DC or hook suicide severely affects your ability to get emblems, and pip up.

Hitting survivors with a 2-damage attack (like when they're exposed from Ghostface or The Shape's stalking) only counts as one hit towards chaser and malicious, while hitting a survivor normally twice counts as two. A similar issue occurs when survivors chose not to heal after being unhooked - you only get one hit towards chaser because they only had one health state to lose. The same problem is presented with Plague's power, which makes healing impossible without cleansing, something reliant on the survivors, and which is widely seen as a poor choice in most situations.

Survivors disconnecting or killing themselves on hook causes a similar issue. If a survivor leaves the trial sooner, you can't hit them as many times, and as such get fewer points towards chaser and malicious. This is even worse when a survivor you haven't hooked yet disconnects, as it ensures you can't get even an Irridescent devout emblem, because you can't get iridescent devout, and can only get gold devout if each of the remaining survivors are hooked 3 times each.

Together, these issues result in the paradox of winning too soon resulting in a safety, or even a depip.

In a recent game (I'm currently a Rank 8 killer, I played against two Rank 4 and two Rank 5 survivors this time) I quickly sacrificed 3 survivors, each of them killing themselves on their second hook. The fourth survivor escaped through hatch, and while I got an iridescent Gatekeeper emblem, I only safety pipped on account of silver devout, chaser, and malicious emblems because the survivors killed themselves. In an earlier game I got three grabs in quick succession, leading me to an easy 4-kill, and I safety pipped that game as well, getting no chaser emblem at all because of only three grabs (which award NOTHING to chaser) on healthy survivors, and two hits.


We need to change Malicious, Chaser and Devout to reward getting grabs and 1-shot downs properly. Skilled actions should lead to better emblems, not no emblems at all.
