Stuck in game (bug) and cant leave, want to avoid 6+hour ban

Played a game as Hillbilly, downed a survivor and hooked them , their timer did not go down and they could not be saved by teammates, i play the game out and kill one survivor and the other 2 escape, the EGC timer go down to nothing and disappears and i am still in the game and so is the survivor on the hook who could not be saved.

I was last DC banned a couple of days ago and it was a 6 hour ban, and i dont want to DC out of this game i am trapped in and get whatever comes after 6 hour ban.

Is there anyway to get out of this and not get a ban?

OK hoped i might get a quick answer here (didnt expect, no hard feelings)

I task manger closed the game and now banned for 6 hours again, this feels really unfair to be banned for something that is not my fault.

How did you manage to reach 6h ban?

Thats why you shouldnt DC so constantly, because when you actually need to DC for a good reason, your ban will just be horribly wrong.

@Spannungsstoß I had a few where i didn't like the killer or the killers/survivors were being ######### so dc'ed , totally legit no complaints about that, when i got up to an hour ban had an IRL situation where i had to leave my computer, the last 6 hour ban before this i was playing survivor in a match where the killer was out to farm, i didn't want to dc and tried to get killer to hook me but they wouldn't and the other survs were just dicking about not doing gens, i done 2 gens and didnt want to 3 more so DC'ed, im a little salty about that one.

I agree with DC penalties and have reason not to DC for lame reasons such as not liking the killer but i feel hard done by to be banned for 6 hours for a bugged game

This has happened in the past, but the ways to trigger this have changed or been patched out entirely. For this scenario, it seems to have been caused by some odd course of events in-game, if you can recall something odd happening in-game (besides this) than it might be linked to what happened with that Survivor.

Also, when this scenario did happen in the past, the game would automatically end the match after a few minutes of the EGCs final count-down, so DCing wasn't entirely necessary, but it's not like you would've known that when this happened to you. Also, the scenario might be different from the past issues with the EGC as well, so DCing could've been the ONLY way to escape it. Either way, your best course of action is to follow the rest of my comment below.

what can I do about this?

The best thing you can do about this is report it to the Bug Report sub-forum as a bug. Specifically where is kind of a mystery, but the best place to report it is in the "Other" category, since this bug seems to be in itself a strange occurrence. I'll provide the link to the main page of the Bug Report sub-forum below.

    As for the 6hr ban...

Being given a 6HR ban would've required you to DC a lot in the past, leading up to the 6HR ban itself. As a result, there isn't really much you can do about this as far as i'm concerned, since your reasoning for DCing previously were sometimes unintentional while other times intentional. All in all, I can't really recommend you to go to support about this, since I don't really think they can help you with this issue either.
