I know this is a different question but with all the negative things I see can we get some positive things. What is one positive thing that you like about this game? I have been playing since June of 2017 and absolutely love this game. It can be so toxic at times because I always play alone but I have learned alot and the game has come so far even since I started playing. I instantly loved the game because it has Myers in it and growing up Halloween is my favorite scary movie, also three months after I purchased the game my dad passed away. I was lost and became extremely depressed, this game became my only way of escaping the reality that my dad was actually gone. I started looking forward to each day when I could play. I would get really excited about ranking up and playing with other people even though I didn't know them or would probably only play with them once and then probably never again. I ended up joining a DBD tournament on Facebook and ended up meeting friends that I still talk to everyday. My point is that even though this game might suck alot to many of you, I just hope there might be a few people out there like me who the game has made a positive impact on. I definitely turned to this game after my dad passed then turning to drugs or alcohol, so thank you to the creators of the game. I will always be a loyal DBD gamer/survivor, hope to see everyone in the fog...

I have a similar experience to you. I've been playing DBD on and off since mid-2016, but the last year has been extremely difficult for me and DBD has become my safe place. Playing the game and hanging around these forums gives me a sense of purpose and something to focus my energies on outside of everything else in my life. It's one of the few places I can go where I don't have to think about certain things or people that are making me miserable. Plus, I've met some wonderful people through here that it always cheers me up to be around.

It really has very little to do with the game itself, but there's just something special about DBD that I keep coming back to, and it will always be precious to me for the role it's played in helping me get through some of the most difficult months of my life.
