New items interaction with franklins
Anyone know how franklins interacts with the new item rules, does it still delete the item if it has no charges?

I doubt it, considering it just reduces the charges. Since you can't lose an item from no charges now, I don't think it'll delete items.

It does not delete the item if there are no charges.

But it'll still drop the item right? Right...?!

Yes! Still drops the item. :)

you´re kidding right? so if someone has a key they can pick it up as often they want and still use it to open the hatch because that doesn´t require charges. sounds fair to me, lmao.

It's always been like this. 🙄

wrong. you could destroy keys or any other item. you can´t do did anymore.

No it didn't, of you had lvl 3 Franklin's, and the charges were low, hitting survivors caused the item to delete. Franklin's got a huge nerf in regards to keys now.

On the topic of items and such, is sabo supposed to go into cool down if you just 1 click a hook? I just tried healing someone by a hook, I got sucked onto the sabo interaction and my perk disabled for 60 seconds, I don't remember that happening in PTB, is that a new bug?

If it makes you feel any better, the devs confirmed that depleted keys can't be used on the hatch.
Still upset that Franklin's got nerfed though

It will, instead, disable the item if all charges are gone
The item will still be in hand, but it cannot do anything anymore

it does indeed, thanks for the info.

To fully deplete the charges you have to hit a survivor 10 times while they have the key equipped to fully destroy it. I doubt it ever happened to anyone.

AWWWW... with item retention gaining a huge buff in this patch, letting Franklin's Demise destroy items would have been a nice buff for it. Not to mention, now survivors are Guaranteed a key escape every time as long as they remember where it got dropped because keys don't require charges to open the hatch.
I was really looking forwards to FD still being able to destroy items because of the new update's Item retention change. Since survivors can't lose items via Depleting Charges, how many now do you think are going to actually be using the keys aura reading abilities? How many survivors will be running around with empty toolboxes, flashlights, and medkits? It seems to me FD would've gained a nice buff if they allowed it to keep destroying items, and with these changes I also see our inventories becoming flooded with items and the only thing depleting being the add-on's as long as we don't run White Ward or Ace in the Hole (seriously a perk that does white wards job?). Where is the Risk to items now? Sure we lose them if we Die, or FD knocks em outta our hands before we escape, but with the new changes we're gonna end up with more Items than we can shake a stick at.
