Thoughts on the new map?

I have really enjoyed playing on this map. I find that it is survivor sided tho. I mean 3 platform gennys, lots of decent loops.

I can see a good huntress or nurse having good games here. Some open spots for Billy but those platforms may be tough. What do you guys think so far?

Visually one of the best maps, I really like the sky stars and sunset.

Gameplay wise... It gets really fast survivor sided on certain spots.. And really fast killer sided on other spots. Very unbalanced for both sides imo. Needs some serious tweakin in terms of loop tiles.

Also is it just me or does this map seem extremely small?

I thought the same thing. It does feel really small, but I actually like that. As both a killer and survivor.

It doesn't feel at all like a DBD map, but I think that's the best thing about it. It creates a completely different atmosphere. Really good job on it.

My first impression yesterday was: "Wow, this map is quite big!" But having played one match and after exploring the rest of it, it really seems rather small. For me, it feels like playing on some sort of board.

I found it hard to tell where the edge of the map was. Everything kinda blends together.

I really like it. It's fun to play on. I really like how the exit gates aren't standard.

I don't really know the map very well so I pretty much run around like a headless chicken during chases. Seems to be working though for some reason.

I think it's gorgeous. My first game on the new map, the Entity was displeased with me because I spent more time gawking at the environment than I did attacking survivors.

I like the map overall, but hate the bushes all over the place. It makes tracking survivors who run into them tricky to find again. Not to mention they can hide in the bushes and be near invisible! I had a Nea sit inside one and only saw her because of the colorful hat slightly clipping out of it. The breakable walls are a little underwhelming imo. I was expecting them to at least open new pathways, but they just seem to create an extra doorway beside other doors.

Design wise its one of the best maps out there, the sunset really adds a nice touch to it

Breakable walls are really awesome, they are not nearly as overpowered as people said they would be, makes me desire Haddonfield gets a rework with a lot of breakable walls.

Design wise? Best map in the whole game.

Gameplay wise? I'd argue it's survivor sided.

The Gallows generator is real annoying since it's far enough in that the Redeemer can't quite reach.

On the bright side it only has 1 stairway up so you can trap that as Trapper or Hag. It also has trapdoors on 2 of the repair spots so if it's about to pop you might see a survivor fall down into your arms.

A lot of the smaller houses have balconies that lead to a vault. These staircases also all have a railing so you cannot snipe people on them. They took the worst park of Haddonfield and really used it here. Seriously, there are a LOT of vaults to jump down.

Then there's the shack. Remember how in the PTB the breakable wall was right next to the God Pallet? Now it's across the shack from it. That wall that killers mindgame at? That's what you can make into an entryway now. Meh, I understand it was done for balance. Just with all of the other stuff folks have I genuinely thought that the killer shack might be pro killer for once without the basement.

Don't get me wrong I love this map. The new walls, the new gate, the sky and backgrounds are all beautiful. It's just, kinda wished there wasn't so many drop vaults.

I actually thought the map was on the large side because the gates were too far apart to patrol. I closed the hatch which was close to one gate and by the time I reached the other I was too late.

You need Brutal Strenght or you will get schooled, you need to break down those walls as fast as possible because every loop is too safe with the wall and becomes too unsafe without it.

Also, there is too much empty space near the corners in my opinion.

How many breakable walls are there. I forgot about those.

I had another opportunity to play this map as a Doctor today and still think this is a very large map with gens difficult to patrol and control. And omg the pallets! Pallets upon pallets upon pallets! Somehow I managed a 4/4 sacrifice, but pretty much only because the group decided to be overly altruistic. I saw one guy open the gate and chased him beyond it, but didn’t actually see him exit because I saw another guy going for a hook save. I downed the hooked person immediately and then downed the other one shortly after. The one that I thought escaped came back for a rescue attempt so I got him, too. Didn’t even need a NOED because they were all running around wounded, silly rabbits.

In both times that I played these maps I had completely forgotten about breakable walls. I don’t even know how to recognize them on sight yet, but if I did it would have undoubtedly helped on a couple of loops I had trouble with.

I have actually got bored of it already. It looks great and is well-made, but I have played it too much in the last 24 hours.
