For the first time in a long time...
It feels like DBD is finally going in the direction it should be going in. A new killer and survivor with pretty balanced perks, a map with very cool features (the aesthetic, breakable walls, new doors, etc). They finally got rid of splinters. And I also like how we can hold on to our item, even if it's depleted. If they keep this up: I will have my faith restored with this game.
My only issues is: How fast tool-boxes deplete.. I had an engineer's toolbox and it was just about as useful as a brown one, even with add-ons. It was gone within 20 seconds of straight use. I understand they want to prevent gen-rushing, but isn't completing gens the point of the game? But luckily, it's not that big of a deal, especially if you are working on the same gen as someone.
Overall: Great job, devs. You're getting there!

Woah :D DBD love? Haven't seen this in a while, nice!

Toolboxes are super-weak now. They repair a little bit faster, but are depleted really fast, I tested out some variations of Toolboxes with different Add Ons.
But I guess thats fine, its not like you really need toolboxes to complete the Objective. They are nice to have, but not necessary.

I agree with all of this. Not a fan of toolboxes being a waste of time for repairs, and also the addon changes were completely unnecessary, but otherwise there was a lot of good in the patch.

I feel the killer's perks, and the killer himself, are very weak.

Yeah toolboxes need a nerf after ruin.
They can get a bit op in the right hands and with more than 1.

So, the survivor changes were bad for you, but the killer changes were all good? hmm

The bad survivor changes I mentioned were bad, yes, that's what I said.
You'll have to be way more specific when you say "killer changes", but I didn't mention any, and I'm sure you didn't actually put that much thought into it.

Lol this is preposterous, great bait

It is the point of the game to complete generators.
That's why it needs to be slower.

Agreed. I really like this chapter and the patch changes. What a turnaround.

I can see where toolboxes needed to be slowed down, but not this slow. They are basically making 'very rare' items almost useless.

Ah. I see. A satisfied survivor, amid a sea of Killers complaining about unbalance, unfair rng, and consistently getting kicked in the as- .
I don't think I even need to explain my point here.

I'd like to think we did a pretty good job so far

What were wrong with the other chapters? You word it like the past chapters were unplayable and totally bad? I personally love oni chapter and it is one of the best chapters they did. Also the perks are not that good thought of the current chapter.

I kind of disagree
Gearhead - The nerf was stupid, but the perk itself is still pretty solid, it may be a good replacement for discordance or surveillance. Nurse and Oni will get.a ton of value out of it.
Dead mans switch - This perk is basically a better, reversed version of Thrilling Tremors for high pressure killers, its basically 45 seconds of the survivors being unable to do anything, in that time you can easily down someone, go back and kick that gen.
Retribution - Alone its not really useful, but if you combine it with thrilling tremors it can be hell to go against.
As for Deathslinger, He may not be the best killer out there, but he is definitely one of the most fun and with some practice I bet anyone can stomp any survivor team with him.

Toolboxes are probably meant to be used in last second situations now. When the Killer is approaching, or it is the last gen. Push the gen with the extra speed you get and maybe you redeemed the match for your side's sake.

Agreed with you on the perks. I only use Dead Man's and my god, it has helped so many times. The killer isn't great, but I've had so much fun with him, I don't care if I 4k or lose. So much fun!

I've played four games in a row where people were communicated. One toolbox. These gens were popping as fast as they were starting.
Teamwork in this game on gens makes them go by faster than most slower killers can't keep up with. That's why Trapper is usually seen in such a negative light, and to do well you need to make these insane big brain plays.

looks like another map like hawkins, full w with all insecure pallets easy 4 kills, game for fools its direction

I did also(Brand New part, plus Commodious TB and 30 charges) It took 58 seconds by myself. It felt worthless.

Ill mess around with the perks some more but I do believe the killer is a weaker huntress. Sure he can be fun but if he can be bullied by competent survivors I'm no longer having fun. We have too many killers that struggle against survivors who make no mistakes. We need more well rounded killers. Not someone who looks like he was designed to attract the FPS crowd.

I think this was a bad update. The killer is trash, even in comparison to legion, and his perks are mediocre at best. Also the sabo changes are broken af, like expected.

dead man's switch only activates if you hook 1 specific survivor, tremors is anyone.. so no it's not better
and tremors isn't even good to begin with
0 -
Tremors has a long ass cooldown and Dead Mans Switch doesnt, plus you can use perk like Nemesis and Furtive Chase to make it even more useful.
0 -
that's a whole lot of perk slots to make one not completely useless..
it's bad

Uhm sweetie its called a "synergy". Same thing I mentioned with Retribution and Haunted grounds, retribution alone is pretty mediocre, but combining it with haunted grounds you can give survivors a really hard time.
