Dead By Daylight Balance Problem
I know this is a big debate in the DBD community and a lot of people don't see eye to eye on this one, but I do really believe this needs to be addressed. Of course I am talking from my own experience.
Dead by Daylight is an asymmetric game, which means to me that the power balance is not evenly divided. This power balance is not in the Killer's favor, but it should be. Most killers lack map pressure, so they are unable to interrupt Survivors working on Generators. I don't see how we can improve this without taking some of the power away from the Survivors.
Gen speed and Survivor efficiency penalty
• I believe the developers said they do not want to increase the time it takes to complete a Genetator, because it is does not make for fun gameplay. They're right it doesn't, especially considering that often Survivors won't be interrupted by the Killer because of the killer's lack of pressure so they sit on a Generator for the full 80 seconds.
• I believe another problem is the efficiency penalty for Survivors when they repair Generators together. The penalty is not big enough in my opinion. In the image below I have some numbers and changes to explain my words better.
• I don't believe these issues should not only be addressed by giving Killers perks (although I do like the new perks Gearhead and Dead Man's Switch).
The Hatch
• I have a very unpopular opinion on the Hatch mechanic: I don't like it as a whole! I have no problem with the Hatch being removed, I think a Survivor's only exit should be through the Exit gates. 'But what if my team sucks?' Too bad! Sadly this idea won't do very well for most people.
• I do have another suggestion: bring back the old Hatch requirement and when the Killer closes the Hatch The Endgame Collapse won't activate and it is a good old 1v1. (These were one of my favorite moments in the game when playing Survivor and I actually had a chance because old Left behind was my favorite perk).
• I say this because I believe that the Survivors should not have a second chance in this aspect and Killers should not have to result to slugging to get their deserved 4K.
Generator Kicking
I feel like kicking Generators without Pop Goes The Weasel is almost pointless.
• The current Generator regression is 0.25 c/s, maybe we could try 0.5 c/s.
• Or maybe make it so that when the Killer kicks a Generator you get an instant 3%-5% regression.
I hope that changes like these could maybe change the hostile attitude a lot of Survivors have towards Killers. I hope that if the Killers were the dominant power role they do not have to camp and tunnel as much as they almost have to, to ensure atleast one kill. Because camping and tunneling does really ruin a Survivors experience and I do not believe that most killer enjoy ruining Survivors' games.
I hope that this opens a civil discussion and calling me a dirty Killer main does not help anyone, telling me why you think I am wrong is helpful.
