Yeah.....I haven't a clue. At first I thought she was on the other side of the pallet and you didn't see her. After watching the vid again she clearly wasn't there.

I would love to learn how to do that

here is what i have learned from a dev post in a very similar discussion:

the survivor (claudette) continuously sends information to the game on where she is. this information only comes in short intervalls though, so the game has to fill in the blank spaces.

the claudette here has lost connection to the game for a few moments, therefore the game didnt know what she was doing and filled out the blank space as good as it could, moving her in the same direction she's previously been running into. now, claudette may have changed directions though, so on her screen she is somewhere entirely else, yet the game assumes she is still where you see her. when she got her connection back, the game immediately moved her to the correct position, which leads to her disappearing from your screen - and her suddenly going down out of nowhere on her screen.

i think @Peanits can explain this better than me though.

Thanks very insightful, but really odd but I doubt that Claudette would have willingly ran into that corner like that. Perhaps game also assumed she has been moving in that direction for a while when rly not and then it just attempts to fix that error in it's weird way.

Recently there's been all kinds of weird fuckery around pallets as both roles anyway.
