Who else is liking the new killer?

So I started to play killer more like everyone asked. It is fun. My only complaints are:

1.) When you face a team of DS it’s annoying. They’ll either waste your time mid-match with it by performing miracle stunts to escape otherwise impossible situations, or use it in the end to guarantee their escape. They’ll crawl out the escape. The later is what should be fixed. Like DS should work only when the killer has been chasing you for over 15 seconds, pr something. Which if a killer hasn’t hit you or gave up means that they’re “tunneling”. Now I stop the chase if I cannot get you after a Bloodlust because I’m just wasting time. Because of the team of DSing, and Flashlighting I run Deerstalker on my killers, and I just slug them constantly.

So! Let’s talk about the REAL subject! After playing killer I decided to buy the new one! I’ve been playing with the Deathslinger for the past couple of days, and I’m loving him. I love Soulsborne so when I saw him he and his weapon looks like something out of Bloodborne. I had to have him. At first I was having a hard time, but I got use to him. He’s a very good slugger imo.

What I run as of now:

Deerstalker: For slugging. You can see them on the ground, and keep an eye while you’re doing other things. If someone goes to rescue you can yank them away.

Coulrophobia: Believe it or not this perk I feel is amazing for slugging. It will take the survivor a while to pick them up off the ground in a pinch. Which is long enough to aim down sights from afar, and yank the healer away. Once they realize this the survivors often try to collectively heal slugged players off the ground. They also burn through medkits without fully healing. They have divide themselves to heal quickly. Since they can no longer heal effectively in TR you while you’re chasing someone else. WHICH I NOTICED REDS DO ALL THE TIME WITH THEIR BOLD SELVES.

Nurses Calling: To see injured survivors, and to aim directly at anyone healing the slugged survivor. You can aim around corners since their auras are highlighted. You can almost always fire from a corner before the survivor can respond. If they screw up trying to dodge the slugged victim receives a penalty. If players cluster to heal slugged victims you can always reel one.

BBQ n Chili: When you finally do hook people you can get intel on where they are if you feel that they’re on gens from afar. I was thinking the new Hangman’s Trick at first because if they’re anywhere near a hook you’ll see them while carrying a survivor. I also wanted to try Thanatophobia, but he hasn’t learned it yet. So for now I use BBQ for intel/points.

I also had matches against some Reds last night to demonstrate my setup. I’ll upload it when I get home if you want. But, how do you guys feel about Deathslinger? Anyone else made up interesting ways to catch survivors yet? He honestly gave me a reason to play killer now. I didn’t like most of the killers. I play console, but would only play with Pig, and Nurse. Now I’m just slinging 💀. It wasn’t that I hated killers, it was just there weren’t any that suited me. I feel every player should have their main killer that reflects them.

Nurses calling is definetly a really good perk to run on him just like how infectius fright is good on oni.

I love the Deathslinger. He's not overly strong and he often relies on the survivor to mess up but he remains fun.

I would honestly say that the above all best perk on him is Monitor and Abuse, since the decrease in terror radius helps you get practically right on top of the survivors without them knowing you're there, and then they're already in harpoon range.

A small terror radius also makes Nurses extremely good on him. As you said, it can make for some surprise shots and quick downs since you see their aura and you can sometimes line up a shot before they see you.

Other than those perks I like BBQ for bloodpoints (and the additional info is nice too) and any gen slow down perk (Thanta, Pop, or Corrupt usually)

Rank 1 killer on PS4 (for what it's worth)

I like the new killer. His move speed stuck at 110% makes patrolling/pressuring gens a pain. Feels easier/better for me to camp the hook and nearest gen(s) instead; especially if I have 6-8 stacks of Save the Best For Last and am not deterred by Borrowed Time. It would be nice to move at 115% unless I'm in a chase.

I don't like landing a shot on a survivor who is 3m from the window, only for them to vault the window and break the chain. This is on Xbox where the dedicated servers aren't being used, so I can only imagine this getting worse with dedicated.

He's pretty trash, but at least I don't have to worry (as much) about survivors teabagging in the exit.

DS should not require long chase to activate. That's not the way for it to be tunneling. I've gone up against many killers that stand there when you unhook someone and wait to immediately attack the unhooked survivor before they can move. It should just be deactivated in the exit gate.

    I'm really enjoying him myself.

Really like Nurses + Monitor & Abuse, basically being in range to shoot someone by the time they can hear you is a good time. And unlike Huntress he doesn't run around humming so you can actually get the jump on people.

I really like the Deathslinger as well. Personally, I like running shadow born. I never liked it on other killers, but it fits him perfectly. I also like running devour hope and noed, since his harpoon attack works with exposed. As far as add-ons, I like running 2 aim movement increases, as he almost moves at full speed while aiming, which is great in a chase.

That means I need to finish my doctor then for Monitor and Abuse. I need a good solid 4th perk besides BBQ.
