Rework idea for Totems and NOED
Right now, Gen speeds are really fast. Something needs to change. Here's my suggestion.
First, remove NOED from the game and make it permanent, minus the speed boost, and make it activate once all Gens are completed if there are any Totems on the map. Once all totems are removed, so is NOED.
Second, rework Dull Totems a bit. Right beside the Generator count, there should be a Totem count. This would count Hex and Dull totems, so that Survivors don't know if the killer is bringing a Hex Perk. Hex Totems will count toward NOED, so you would have to remove them too. Then, make Totems 4 seconds faster to cleanse, from 12 seconds to 8.
Finally, allow Survivors to see Dull Totems when within 6 Meters of them. Hex perks don't need a nerf, and they already glow, so giving them the aura reading wouldn't be needed. Plus, it might make them a bit better, as they would be harder to find, thus making them better then Dull Totems if you want NOED to activate. Dull Totems getting aura reading is because they can already be annoying to find, and with such a powerful effect from not cleansing them, they should be easier to find.
What would this do? First, it would add a second objective. Survivors would have to cleanse totems to avoid getting hit with NOED. Second, it removes an annoying perk, and makes it easier to deal with. You will always know if there are totems on the map, so it's never a question when playing Solo. Finally, it allows Killers to build more around the endgame, since its now more powerful. There would probably need to be changes elsewhere to compensate for making NOED permanent, but I think it will be much better for the game. Dull Totems will be easier to find and easier to cleanse, and with NOED being weaker, this will be much easier to deal with. Killer will always know if they can rely on NOED in the endgame, as they will always know how many totems are left. It would buff perks like Detectives Hunch and Retribution, as they both effect tracking/defending totems.
Overall, I think something like this would be good for the game. It fills the need for a second objective, gives bad perks more viability, buffs a lot of the bad killers that rely on M1, gives an unhealthy perk more counterplay. If you have suggestions feel free discuss. I know there would need to be tweaks to this, some perks would have to be changed, some killers might have to be changed, but I think it could work. Don't just say no and move on, try to add something to the conversation. Thanks for reading.

So, in other words, you wanna not make it activate until the gates OPEN letting you just instantly run out, Then you also want the killer to lose there speed boost too? Yeah, that's not survivor sided... 🤦♂️

Yeah, I realize I worded that badly. I meant for it to activate when Gens complete. I'll edit it.
