Gearhead on PTB Versus Live

So for those of you that weren't on the PTB, quick rundown of what Gearhead was.

Two basic attacks triggers it's activation for the next 45 seconds. You are alerted to what generators Survivors are working on whenever they hit a great or good skillcheck.

This has been changed to 15 seconds shorter and only working on good skillchecks.

My question? Why? Why was this changed? This change took a somewhat decent location perk for M1 Killers to absolute garbage as it suffers one of the decisions that went into changing Ruin into what it is now. That is to say, new Survivors hitting mostly good skillchecks and veteran Survivors hitting almost solely great skillchecks.

I really don't see what the issue was and would like some clarity.

The time makes it almost impossible to use too. By the time Gearhead activates and you've hooked the survivor you just downed, you've only got like 15 seconds left. Almost useless now, just run Discordance.

I'll have to try it out before fully commenting, but from the description you may as well use Discordance or Surveillance.

It was a bad perk before it too. We already got loads of perks that do this things job better.

What I don't get is why is a killer with poor gen pressure given a gen monitor perk. Surly this perk should do something to pressure gens, especially for all the conditions its need to activate. Like When passing a skill check the gen lights up for a brief moment and the survivor working on it suffers from oblivious or hindered or...whatever.

    30 seconds... Meh, but playeble

Only good skill checks? So againts good/lucky Survivors totaly worthless perk? ... That's a big no if you ask me.

At least remove the good skill checks requirement from it...

I played with it yesterday. Had the perk active more than once and didn't see a single gen light up. Well it did when it was done. So you have 30 seconds before the gen is done in 40.

It was nerfed so the devs dont have to worry about another perk being problematic for survivors, just make it so pointless nobody will run it and nobody will complain, gg ez.
