New Oni player, i have a blood question

so i have a question about blood orbs.


How many are meant to spawn when i hook someone? i think i saw a video once of a guy that was hooked, and it spawned like 5 or so blood orbs.

i only get 2 or so when i hook someone.


Also whats the best way to get blood orbs?

    i think that depends on if you have an add-on to increase the amount of blood orbs you can get. best way to get your power is to hit healthy survivors and leave the orbs till later on, usually i will hit one person, hit another then down that second one and by the time i go after anyone else ill have my power back. dont forget that survivors doing actions like vaulting etc. produce more orbs so if someone i panic vaulting a pallet over and over you can kinda milk that a little bit. (worst thing to do is follow someone collecting his blood or using his power without having the location of a healthy survivor, its also sometimes best to just pick the person up and hook them than wasting all your power trying to find someone else)

    2 blood orbs will always spawn after you hook a survivor. Addons like splintered hull will increase how many orbs survivor drop(hook orbs stay the same). Hitting healthy survivor gives you 40% of your power. You can prolong chases if you know you can still quickly down the survivor who's injured to farm orbs from them. Passive recharge addons are pretty bad.

    You could try doing the ‘gas station’ tactic

    hit a survivor then follow them to a loop where they have to voult to not get hit stay with them until you think theirs enough blood orbs then down them. So now that spot map of the map is like a ‘gas station’ for you without having to find and hit another survivor.

    the problem with this will be Large maps,gens going fast,and if you have any slow down perks.
